Learn to make Eco friendly Rakhis

!!DIY Rakhi Workshop!!

Create your own eco-friendly Rakhis this Rakshabandhan with material easily available at home in a fun-filled 1 hour online session!

Workshop Facilitator : Sachi Chandel Tripathi, Ceramics and Glass Designer from NID, Practicing Potter and Design Consultant.
Date : 12th JULY 2020
Time : 4:30 – 5:30 pm

Materials Required for the workshop :

• Clay (preferably terracotta clay, if not available you could use playdough or even salt dough prepared with 1 part maida+ ½ part salt + ½ partwater + oil)
• Pooja Kalawa/Mauli or any thick thread for the rakhi
• thick paper (any handmade paper or recycled thick paper sheet would do)
• pair of scissors
• fevicol or any glue
• water, haldi and roli to color (you could use any available colors like food colors, poster/acrylic colors as well)
• paint brush
• toothpick
• empty ball pen refill
• any small shape cutters that you’d like to use

Recycling objects is always fun...
So I keep on watch on the things which can be transformed into a new 'Avtaar'.
This time it's an old soap dispenser, turned into an art piece. Stay tuned for more updates....
