🚨*JMI against arbitrary attendance policy*

NSUI JMI conducted a mass signature campaign with 500+ students and submitted a memorandum opposing the 75% attendance rule for sessionals. The policy has led to unjust detention, ignoring health issues, mental stress, emergencies, bereavements,quality of classes and co-curricular commitments, while reducing classrooms to spaces of compliance.

Key concerns include lack of clarity for students barred from exams, no provisions for those missing both sessionals, absence of transparent exemptions, and inconsistent implementation.

We demand relaxation of the rule, a flexible policy, remedial measures, and recognition of genuine circumstances.✊🏻

Jamia must stop policing students, abandon exclusionary policies, and restore a learning environment rooted in trust, dignity, and intellectual freedom.✊
