Research | Hands-on Projects | Workshops | Seminars | Career building skills Our vision is very clear i.e. We look forward to your participation.
The University of Delhi at Acharya Narendra Dev College SPIE student Chapter established on the 6th August 2010, with shear efforts and commitment from our Faculty advisor Dr. Amit Garg. Acharya Narendra Dev College is the only college in Delhi University to be affiliated with SPIE (Society of Photo Optical Instrumentation Engineers, USA). to give undergraduates an insight about Optics and Photoni
cs and to promote Optics at schools through various outreach programmes. SPIE provides a nice blend of Research and Management to the chapter members. Students have two key roles to play, researchers as well as year planners and off course under the guidance of our advisor. The chapter kick started with 10 members and over these three years, we have taken a giant leap with over 100 dedicated members, both from ANDC and other colleges/departments of the University, being an integral part of this society. This is the highest number in India or perhaps in the world. The work load has increased many folds so as our excitement and dedication. The activity grant provides financial assistance for the year long endeavours with Officers Travel Grant ensures one student to be a part of SPIE OPTICS+ PHOTONICS every year in San Diego, California to present a paper/attend the conference. The good part is, the list of opportunities keeps darting towards you and is colossal. We feel honoured to be a part of this society student chapter. The chapter is open to all Delhi University students from Science background.
