Learnet Skills Limited, a subsidiary of Schoolnet India, in partnership with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), is the largest vocational skills company in the country. We are committed to delivering skills training programmes for inclusive growth for students in school, unemployed youth, trainers, and the existing workforce leading to employability, employment and/or productivity enhancement. Our strong commitment towards taking skills and livelihood opportunities to every corner of India has helped us set up touch points in some of the most difficult geographies, Left Wing Extremism (LWE) affected districts, remote areas, and backward regions. We have created an annual training capacity of 0.1 million youth in 21 sectors and 95 job roles, through a network of 200+ institute of skills spread across 22 states covering 143 districts and 46 LWE & difficult districts. We have also established partnership across 20+ central ministries & state departments, 1600+ employers, 35+ corporates and 4 universities and have been able to deliver large scale skill development mandates impacting 2.1 million people till date. Driving the employability agenda forward, our award-winning and market-oriented TVET programmes provide both domain and soft skills training. These programmes have yielded impact through improvement in income and standard of living, not only for individuals but also their families and communities.

Freedom means something different to everyone. For a young nation like India, its youth are the greatest expression of that freedom, shaping tomorrow with their dreams, choices, and ambitions.

As we celebrate the 80th year of India’s independence, we asked the young learners at Learnet on International Youth Day a simple question: What does financial freedom mean to you?

What they shared was honest, refreshing, and deeply inspiring. Their words reflected dreams of dignity, opportunity, choice, and self-reliance. The very aspirations that empower individuals and, in turn, strengthen a nation.

"Every time we see someone from Assam, it feels like our family has come to meet us. We don't want you to leave..."

These tearful words from one of our alumni reminded us why we do what we do.

Our Learnet Assam team recently visited Chokhi Dhani, Jaipur — where many of our alumni now work — and it turned into an emotional reunion. They proudly showed us around, shared their journey, and when it was time to leave... the tears just couldn't stop.
