ATL Community Day | April 16, 2026
Birla Vidya Niketan, Pushp Vihar successfully hosted ATL Community Day, bringing innovation and hands-on learning to students.
We were honoured to have our Regional Mentor of Change join us virtually and inspire young innovators.
Highlights of the Day:
• 3D Printing – Hands-on experience with digital design and additive manufacturing
• Robotics – Designing and assembling RC cars from scratch
• Electronics – Learning LED integration and circuit building
• Sensors – Building ultrasonic distance measurers and exploring tinkering components
The day combined expert mentorship with practical prototyping, fostering curiosity and a strong interest in engineering and innovation.

The three-day Eighth International Youth Conference in Bhutan was held from 21st to 23rd April 2026 at the Druk Gyalpo Institute. It began with a ceremonial lamp lighting and a formal briefing, where the BVN Team delivered a meticulous presentation and handled a dynamic Q&A session with clarity. Day 2 featured an Earth Day celebration with an address by Dasho Paljor Jigme Dorji, a cultural program, and a composed presentation by the BVN Team followed by specialized workshops. The final day included a visit to Kyichu Lhakhang Temple and the local sightseeing before the closing ceremony, where Team Soukhyam from BVN won the Best Teamwork Award for their presentation on Gross National Happiness and Disha Reddy Bekkari earned the Runners-up trophy in the Best Feedback category. Throughout the event, students engaged in diverse workshops, ultimately gaining invaluable global exposure and cultural insight from this profound learning experience.

We are proud to share that our student Aarush Babbar successfully participated in the Young CEO Program conducted by ThinkStartup in association with TIDES Business Incubator, IIT Roorkee held at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi.
During the program, the student demonstrated exceptional creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial thinking, and was awarded the “Most Popular Idea Award” for presenting a highly engaging and impactful business concept.
The Young CEO Program provided an enriching learning experience by introducing students to real-world startup ecosystems. It offered hands-on exposure to ideation, problem-solving, product development, and pitching skills. Through mentorship sessions, collaborative activities, and practical challenges, participants gained valuable insights into entrepreneurship and leadership.
This achievement reflects the student’s initiative, creativity, and ability to think beyond conventional boundaries. The experience has significantly contributed to building confidence, communication skills, and a strong entrepreneurial mindset.
We congratulate the student on this accomplishment and wish him continued success in future endeavors.

Proud Moment for BVN! 🌟
We are delighted to share that Kushagra Krishna (7B) and Reyansh Singh (11B) have emerged as Top 30 Finalists in the prestigious Times of India AI Student Winter Camp 2025–26 🎉
Organised by The Times of India, this engaging winter programme introduced students to the exciting world of Artificial Intelligence through expert-led live sessions and hands-on projects. Participants explored key AI concepts, worked with modern AI tools, created innovative AI-based applications, and learned about the ethical use of technology.
Being among the Top 30 finalists is a remarkable achievement and reflects their creativity, innovation, and dedication towards future technologies. 🚀

🚀 Hands-on Space Communication Workshop at Birla Vidya Niketan 🚀
Birla Vidya Niketan successfully organized a two-day hands-on workshop on the practical aspects of Space Communication, with enthusiastic participation from 43 students of Classes VI to IX.
The workshop was conducted by Dr. B. A. Subramani, retired ISRO space simulation engineer, who has conducted more than 350 workshops in space science education.
📡 On Day 1, students explored satellite tracking using Orbitron software, learned about different satellite orbits such as polar and equatorial, and were introduced to the exciting world of HAM Radio. They also gained insights into setting up a ground station for satellite communication.
🛰️ On Day 2, students successfully tracked the Russian satellite Meteor M2-3 and received real-time signals using a three-element Yagi antenna. They decoded signals and captured satellite images transmitted from over 3,400 km above Earth, making the experience truly unforgettable.
Dr. Subramani also addressed parents, encouraging them to support their children in exploring HAM radio and satellite communication.
✨ The workshop’s strong practical focus kept students highly engaged and inspired, making it a well-organized and enriching learning experience.

Birla Vidya Niketan (BVN) proudly participated in the TinkerFest hosted by Hamdard Public School and delivered an outstanding performance.
Our students secured 1st position in PPT Making and Website Making, and also won 2nd position in 3D Designing, showcasing their creativity, technical skills, and innovative thinking.

Students of 𝐁𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐚 𝐕𝐢𝐝𝐲𝐚 𝐍𝐢𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐧 participated in a 𝟑-𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩 held at 𝐈𝐈𝐈𝐓-𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐡𝐢, 𝐎𝐤𝐡𝐥𝐚 𝐏𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐞-𝐈𝐈𝐈, alongside students from 𝐒𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐫 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐥 Vidhyalaya. The camp brought together students from 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝟖, 𝟗, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟏𝟏, fostering collaboration, innovation, and hands-on learning.
Students were divided into mixed-school teams and worked on 𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲-𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬, including a 𝐒𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐀𝐢𝐫 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐫, 𝐒𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐖𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 / 𝐎𝐛𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐛𝐢𝐧, and a 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 / 𝐌𝐚𝐳𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐭.
Each project involved practical application of 𝐀𝐫𝐝𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐬, 𝐜𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐫𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦-𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠, encouraging both hardware and software integration.
The camp was conducted for 3 days, with dedicated project-building sessions supported by 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 from IIIT-Delhi. One of the key highlights was the 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭 among students from different schools, many of whom were working together for the first time.
On the final day, all groups 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬, explaining the working principles, applications, and future scope. The presentations reflected students’ 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.
At the conclusion of the camp, 𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 were awarded to all students.
The Winter Innovation Camp proved to be a 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐲 𝐞𝐧𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, strengthening 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬, 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩, 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, perfectly aligning with the vision of the 𝐀𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐚𝐛 (𝐀𝐓𝐋) initiative.

Prabhav of class 6th participated in the “Spring4Good” AI Hackathon IIT Delhi, on 17 January 2026.
Prabhav’s project, “Lighted,” received a Special Mention Award and he was honored with a Special Mention. Appreciation for his innovative contribution.
He was awarded with the Thinkqbator gift prize, as a special mention award.

Our Class VII students Siddhartha Unnikrishnan and Reyansh Rawat showcased their innovative project “Smart Uniform”, earning encouraging feedback from the ThinkStartup team, along with a medal and certificate.

An enriching IBM SkillsBuild Orientation Session was conducted today at our school by 1M1B (One Million for One Billion) for students of Classes VI and VII. The session focused on introducing students to the IBM SkillsBuild platform and the importance of developing digital literacy, problem-solving abilities, and future-ready skills.
Students participated enthusiastically and gained insights into self-paced learning and emerging technology-based courses. The session was engaging and inspiring, motivating students to begin their journey towards 21st-century skills and innovation.
