n Stara Zagora, Bulgaria, approximately 18 000 people from the Kalaidzhi community gather every year to participate in the so-called bride market, where they conduct negotiations to set the prices of girls aged 13 to 20 who are sold as wives based on the criteria of virginity and aesthetics.
According to Special Report No 14/2016 of the Court of Auditors, Bulgaria was allocated EUR 143 million of EU funds for the integration of marginalised communities between 2014 and 2020.
The buying and selling of girls contravenes the principles of female self-determination, which include the freedoms of emotional and sexual choice, and reproductive rights.
Against the backdrop of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union, the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, we would like to ask the Commission:
1. What strategies have been adopted to put an end to the aforementioned practice of trafficking and exploitation of prostitution, currently taking place within the EU?
2. Does it consider it appropriate to address this issue as a matter of priority, together with the Bulgarian Government, in order to promote the values of the EU?

आजादी के महज 28 साल बाद ही देश को तत्कालीन प्रधानमंत्री इंदिरा गांधी के फैसले के कारण आपातकाल के दंश से गुजरना पड़ा। 25-26 जून की रात को आपातकाल के आदेश पर राष्ट्रपति फखरुद्दीन अली अहमद के दस्तखत के साथ देश में आपातकाल लागू हो गया। अगली सुबह समूचे देश ने रेडियो पर इंदिरा गांधी की आवाज में संदेश सुना कि भाइयों और बहनों, राष्ट्रपति जी ने आपातकाल की घोषणा की है। लेकिन इससे सामान्य लोगों को डरने की जरूरत नहीं है।
