A profession grows when its professionals never stop learning.

It was a pleasure to deliver a session on "Internal Audit: Tools & Technology" under the Master Knowledge Series – EEE, hosted by ICSI.

Delighted to interact with 6,500+ participants who brought tremendous energy, insightful questions, and a forward-looking mindset to the session.

We discussed how AI, data analytics, automation, and digital tools are transforming internal audit from a compliance function into a strategic business partner.

Had a wonderful time attending the workshop on the Income Tax Act 2025 at ICAI Mandi Gobindgarh Branch.

*Tax laws evolve. So must we.*

Staying updated isn’t optional anymore — it’s the only way to stay relevant, credible, and useful to the people who trust us with their businesses and finances.

Sessions like these remind me why continuous learning is at the heart of this profession. New provisions, new interpretations, new challenges — and every single time, a chance to grow sharper.

Six Women. One Council. One Legacy.

Some photographs don't just capture a moment they capture a movement.
At Dharohar. The Legacy Conclave, something historic happened: for the first time, all six women who have ever served on NIRC of ICAI stood together, under one roof.

Only six women, in NIRC's entire history. And on this day, we were all in the same frame.

🔹 CA Rashmi Khetarpal (2010–13) — The trailblazer. First woman ever elected to NIRC.

🔹 CA Yogita Anand (2013–19) — Youngest woman elected to Council, and the only one so far to serve two consecutive terms.

🔹 CA Pooja Bansal (2016–19) — Went on to become NIRC's first woman Secretary and Vice-Chairperson.

🔹 CA Shweta Pathak (2019–22) — Championed women's empowerment within the profession.

🔹 CA Shalini Gupta (2022–25) — First Female Council Member beyond Delhi NCR.

And me, Sana Baqai (2025–29) — the sixth woman in NIRC's history to hold this seat.

Six women. Fifteen years. Six different ways of proving we don't just belong in the room we redefine what happens in it.

This isn't just a reunion photo. It's a reminder of how far we've come and how much further representation still needs to go. If it took this long to get six of us in one frame, imagine the work still ahead to make that frame ordinary instead of historic.

To every woman CA reading this: the room is opening. Walk in.
