✨NSIS at Savitribhai Phule Speaking Bee✨

The Centre for Civil Society (CCS) organised the final event of the Savitribai Phule Speaking Bee (SBPSB) Competition 2026 at the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre, New Delhi, under its Language Learning Lab initiative launched in 2023. The event witnessed the participation of over 100 students from Grades 1 to 8, representing schools across Delhi, Chandigarh, and Uttar Pradesh.

Designed as an inter-school, grade-wise platform, the competition aimed to move students beyond rote learning and enable them to express their ideas with clarity and confidence, empowering future voices through public speaking.

The competition was evaluated by a five-member jury from diverse educational backgrounds. The event was attended by school directors and teachers from 14 participating schools, reflecting strong institutional engagement. The programme was graced by Ms. Sahana Ahmed, Founder and CEO, Bare Bones Publishing, and Dr. Nishant Sinha, Product Head, Times Internet, who appreciated the students’ confidence and highlighted the impact of structured speaking opportunities.
