In solidarity with Vq***ram.

AUD Q***r Collective stands in solidarity with trans activist Vq***ram Aditya Sahai, and condemns the vicious transphobic attacks launched by the right wing this week.

The targeted harassment involved doxxing, abuse, body-shaming, transphobia and trolling, and has been done with the intent of calling into question Vq***ram’s politics against gender and caste-based violence; and challenging their academic merit and position as a teacher.

Over the years, we have been witness to Vq***ram’s integral work as an activist and unrelenting voice against gender and caste-based violence, and we have had the opportunity to learn immensely from them during their time as faculty in the Gender Studies programme at AUD. We salute their unrelenting voice against against gender and caste-based violence, and strongly condemn the casteist, transphobic, and bigoted aggressors who seem to rely on abuse and intimidation to fulfil their oppressive Brahmanical agenda.

This attack is in service of the larger war waged on q***r and trans lives. We are constantly faced with systemic violence, including the monopolization of educational spaces as well as public spaces by dominant groups. Cishet Savarna aggressors have historically attempted to silence and police voices of dissent, and continue to do so.

Finally, we condemn the use of journalistic tools to single-out and harass Vq***ram, and are sickened by the invasive, bigoted, and ignorant content published by OpIndia.

We extend our unwavering support to Vq***ram and stand by them in solidarity.

As part of our registration drive, we are excited to bring to our new members this amazing zine making workshop by our very own ! 🥺💜 Over the lockdown, most q***r folks have been struggling with physical and virtual spaces and trying to feel a sense of belonging. Since zines have played a crucial role in q***r identity and culture, and pretty much anyone can make a zine, we felt it would be interesting for us to explore spaces and how we relate to them via a zine.

Aila Dutt (she/her) is a 21-year-old confused bi/pansexual sociology graduate from Ambedkar University Delhi. She spends her time reading and drawing astronauts while pondering over the meaning of life and cultural conflict while working at a community radio in Pondicherry. She's been making zines since she was a child and after a 14-year hiatus, she's back with sketch pens and identity crisis'!

So bring a pen, a rectangular piece of paper and a pair of scissors! The workshop is for any age group and people of all orientations and identities. The link will be sent to AUDQC members only; registration link:

Hello,
One of the central demands of the student community of AUD is the complete rollback of the changes in the reservation policy. The Dalit Bahujan Adivasi Collective made a wonderful set of explainers on these changes + the proposed scrapping of 100% fee exemption to SC/ST/PwD students that you can find here: https://www.facebook.com/dbaaud/posts/1382897718571981

To add to these, we have prepared some more explainers and mythbusters to explain the implications and status of these changes. These will also contextualize our current demands for you.
Please go through them and circulate, as many will find these helpful in understanding the issue. We condemn this casteist administration's attempts at effectively preventing several DBA students from availing their constitutional right to affirmative action, a complete denial of social justice. NOT AN INCH BACK!

Jai Bhim, Satrangi Salaam!

We demand justice for the Hathras victim and for Dalit women across the world.

Annihilation of caste is justice.

Read our statement.

AUD Q***r Collective invites you to a discussion on our instagram tonight to clarify our stance on the boycott and why + how we must persevere and continue resisting through boycotts and other forms of protests. Our two main demands - roll back changes to the reservation policy and fee concession - have not yet been met; we cannot falter at this juncture. Halt university functioning until we get a clear and positive response on our two non-negotiable demands.

If you have any doubts, questions or other concerns that you want answered: please join us tonight at 9PM.

In Rage and Solidarity,
Jai Bhim! Satrangi Salaam!

AUDQC joins other campus organizations and the student council in condemning the ways in which the administration has insidiously mandated full tuition payment in the middle of a pandemic and made arbitrary changes to full fee waiver provided to SC/ST/PwD students.

Joint call for twitter storm TODAY (06/09/2020) from 7-9PM. Join the campaign using the following hashtags:
