RamanuGen— The Mathematics Society of Ramanujan College with great exuberance presents "The Screenmaster: Shot Vs Shot": a video-making competition for all the Mathematics enthusiasts.

All undergraduate students are eligible to participate in this competition. The participant needs to prepare a 15-20 minutes video on one of the following topics:

1. Any topic of Undergraduate Mathematics like Algebra (Group theory/ Linear Algebra & extensions), Analysis (Real & Complex), Calculus (Single & Multivariate), Differential Equations (ODE & PDE), Numerical Analysis/Probability/ Statistics, etc.

2. Applications of Mathematics in various fields like Operational Research, Economics, Weather Forecasting, Biology, etc.

3. Vedic Mathematics

The selected entries will be uploaded on our YouTube Channel. E- Certificates will be provided to all the selected entries.

Registrations will be closed on 23rd October, 11:59 PM.

The Teaching Learning Centre (under PMMMNMTT Scheme) and Department of Mathematics, Ramanujan College are conducting an Online Refresher Course in Mathematics during 31 August - 14 September 2021. It is an attempt to impart quality education in Mathematics to the undergraduate teachers and research scholars of the country in the online mode. The course is being offered in a highly flexible format and can be done at own pace and within stipulated time. There are built-in assessment exercises and activities as part of the academic progression in the course.

The formal inaugural ceremony of the Refresher Course took place online through Zoom platform and was telecasted live on YouTube in the morning of 31st August 2021:

The event was graced by Dr. Amber Habib, Professor, Shiv Nadar University as the Chief Guest.

It is worth to remark that Refresher course is discipline specific having more than 600 participants and it will provide a forum to them to keep themselves abreast of the latest advances in various areas of Mathematics with experienced and eminent resource persons from reputed institutions like Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), National Institute of Technology (NIT), Ambedkar University, Central University of Rajasthan and University of Delhi. The resource persons from India Meteorological Department, Ministry of Earth Sciences and foreign universities like Dresden University of Technology, Germany and Mangosuthu University of Technology, Durban, South Africa are also involved in the Refresher Course.

JAM (Joint Admission Test) is a qualifying test for admission to various masters programmes, including, MSc (2 years), Masters in Economics (2 years), Joint MSc-PhD, MSc-PhD Dual Degree, MSc-MS (Research) or PhD dual degree, and other post-bachelor degree programmes at IITs (Indian Institute of Technology) and Integrated Ph.D. Programme at IISc Bangalore.
