Every Accolade, A Story of Dedication — DPS Mathura Road Celebrates the Academic Excellence of Its Young Scholars
Delhi Public School Mathura Road celebrated scholarly distinction on April 16, 2026, as the Junior School Assembly Ground played host to the Annual Award Ceremony for Classes VI and VII — an occasion inaugurated with a solemn lamp-lighting invocation and the National Anthem, and distinguished by the esteemed presence of Shri Chirag Paswan, Union Minister for Food Processing Industries, formally felicitated by Principal Dr. Ram Singh. True to his charismatic persona, Shri Chirag Paswan took to the podium and delivered a stirring address that left the audience inspired, urging young minds to rise as the future leaders of tomorrow, and passionately highlighting the vision of a Viksit Bharat — calling upon students to be the driving force behind India's journey toward becoming a developed nation. A captivating Artistic Showcase by the students preceded the address of Principal Dr. Ram Singh, wherein he lauded the "commendable grit" of the awardees, underscoring education as a "resilient currency" and reaffirming the institution's strategic focus on Olympiads, ASSET Exams, and Competitive Examinations, before the ceremony reached its pinnacle with the Distribution of Awards — each accolade a testament to the sustained discipline and intellectual dedication of the Batch of 2025–26 — and concluded with a gracious vote of thanks by Headmistress, Ms. Manisha Varma.

Where leadership is not given — it is entrusted. (Post 2)
On 15th April 2026, DPS Mathura Road hosted its annual Investiture Ceremony, a momentous occasion graced by the distinguished presence of Chief Guest Justice Navin Chawla of the Delhi High Court, and Guest of Honour Sh. Rohit Kumar, IAS, Additional Secretary & Programme Director, Niti Aayog, New Delhi — both illustrious alumni of this very institution, whose remarkable journeys stand as a living testament to the values this school has always held dear. As the newly appointed Prefects of Class V and Class XII were formally invested with their badges and sashes in a ceremony steeped in tradition, dignity, and purpose, Dr. Ram Singh, Principal, drew a compelling distinction between recognition and responsibility, reminding the Prefects that what they received was not a trophy but a torch — for a Prefect stands but one letter away from perfect, chosen not by chance but by conviction. He exhorted each one to remember that every student younger than them would henceforth observe how they carry themselves, how they treat others, and how they respond in moments of challenge, for this institution does not merely expect good results — it expects good character. With parents, teachers, and distinguished guests bearing witness, the ceremony stood as a resounding affirmation that in nurturing these young leaders, the school and the family together are preparing nothing less than the future decision-makers of this great nation.
