Behind every riyaz, every rehearsal, every moment on stage stand those who believe before the applause begins.

Our advisors are not merely guides; they are custodians of vision, conscience, and continuity. With their wisdom, generosity, and quiet strength, they hold space for Sangeet Vidya Niketan to grow rooted in tradition, yet reaching outward with purpose.

To each of these remarkable individuals: your faith dignifies our work, steadies our resolve, and reminds us that culture flourishes in collective care.

With profound gratitude, we honour you — the true pillars of SVN.

Exceptionally proud of our young disciples — Akhila, Aishwarya, Vaanika, Bhargavi, and Bhakti — for representing Sangeet Vidya Niketan at the Republic Day Celebrations 2026! ✨

They had the honour of performing in the august presence of the Hon’ble Prime Minister and the Hon’ble President of India, along with this year’s Chief Guests — President of the European Council, António Luís Santos da Costa, and President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen. 🇮🇳✨

A moment of deep pride for the students and for the institution they represent with such grace and discipline.

Our deep regards to ji and .sadhya ji for the gracious invitation extended to SVN. We remain grateful for your continued blessings and encouragement 🌼🙏🏻

•The Gharanas of Kathak•

Lineage before style. Memory before movement.

Kathak lives through its gharanas—each shaped by geography, poetry, rhythm, and the vision of its great maestros.

•The Lucknow Gharana, defined by grace, nazakat, and abhinaya, stands eternally illuminated by Pt. Birju Maharaj and continues to be carried forward by the quiet authority of maestro Shovana Narayan ( ), a living legend of our times.

•The Jaipur Gharana, known for its power, layakari, and pakhawaj-driven virtuosity, is currently shaped by the mastery of Pt. Rajendra Gangani ( .rajendragangani ), and continues to evolve through the artistry of Sanjeet Gangani ( ), one of its leading voices today.

•The Banaras Gharana, rooted in devotion, natwari bols, and expressive tatkar, remains forever defined by the incomparable maestro Sitara Devi.

For these gharanas are not abstractions of history, but lived memory.
Our founder was honoured with studentship under Pt. Birju Maharaj ji, a formative chapter that continues to inform our approach to pedagogy—even as his own artistic journey later devoted itself to Odissi.

At SVN, we do not merely teach form.
We honour parampara as a living, breathing inheritance.

In a time shaped by speed, visibility, and instant reward, Pt. Rajendra Gangani ji reminds us of a quieter, more demanding truth.✨

In the Guru–Shishya Parampara, art does not reveal itself quickly.
It asks for years of surrender, discipline, and lived understanding—often fifteen years or more—before one even begins to see its depth.

Short-form media may offer momentary growth.
But Kala Upasana—the becoming of an artist—demands patience, continuity, and conscious choice.

What do you believe truly shapes an artist today?

Concept & Direction: Madhur Gupta
Created for: Sangeet Vidya Niketan’s maiden festival, Aagman (2021)

With deep gratitude to Pt. Rajendra Gangani ji for his wisdom and blessings—may he continue to guide and bless us always.
