Our Entrepreneurship Development Cell is a non-profit cell run by the students that aims at manifesting the latent entrepreneurial spirit of the young.
The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) at JIMS is a vital tool in fostering an entrepreneurial ecosystem within the academic environment. It nurtures an entrepreneurial mindset, offers skill development programs, provides incubation support, facilitates industry interaction, offers seed funding and investment opportunities, and contributes to an entrepreneurial culture. EDCs also encourage alumni who are successful entrepreneurs to share their experiences and mentor students.

JIMS Rohini hosted a Founder series titled Vision to Venture led by Mr. Saurabh Khandelwal, Founder and CEO of DGS Translogistics India Pvt. Ltd. An accomplished alumnus from the PGDBM Batch of 1998-2000, Mr. Khandelwal has grown DGS into a leading logistics firm operating across India, with over 1,000 employees and 95 warehouses, serving major clients like Adani, CEAT, and Tata.
This insightful session provided valuable insights into the world of logistics and supply chain management. He shared his journey, challenges, and vision for the future of logistics.
His inspiring journey from a PGDM student to a successful entrepreneur motivated the current batch of students to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams with passion and determination.

The Institutions’s Innovation Council organised JIMS Smart Hackathon 2024 on 17th September. It was a dynamic event showcasing the innovative skills of 21 teams from BCA, MCA, BBA, and PGDM programs. Participants tackled real-world challenges by presenting problem statements and developing technical prototypes. The first prize was awarded to Team Coal Diggers for their comprehensive app and web-based software aimed at enhancing productivity and safety in coal mines. The second prize went to Team Mine Craft for their web application designed to quantify and address carbon footprints in Indian coal mines. The event successfully highlighted the participants' creativity, technical expertise, and practical problem-solving abilities.
