What is Direct Admission?
It is an admission process offered by private colleges & universities to help students get admission with a low score in competitive entrance exams.
What is the Management Quota?
25% – 30% of the total intake is reserved under management quota seats which are generally offered at a higher tuition fee compared to the merit seats.
What is the eligibility criteria for Direct Admission?
Minimum 40-50% marks in 12th or degree are required to get admission via management quota seats. Must have appeared or qualified entrance exams such as NEET, CAT, or JEE Mains.
How to get admission via Management Quota?
To book a seat, you can visit the college and pay the development fee or annual tuition fee. Management seats for medical courses are allotted through a centralized counselling process.
Deemed Universities & Private MBBS Colleges
There is a big difference between the MBBS seats in India compared to the number of students who appear for the NEET exam.
If You wish to become MBBS doctors, private & deemed medical institute is the only option available with a less score in the entrance exam.
Getting MBBS seats in government colleges is only possible if You score more than 500 marks in the NEET exam.
To get admission in Private & Deemed medical universities, You need to pay high annual college tuition fee or donation to get an MBBS seat.
MBBS Direct Admission in Government Colleges
Few government medical colleges have seats reserved under the NRI quota.
NRI seats are for NRI, OCI, & Foreign national students who have qualified NEET.
These seats are made available through the state quota counselling.
However, the cut-off rank is very low for the NRI seats.
Any NRI, OCI & Foreign national can get a seat with a valid rank in the NEET UG exam.
Government Medical Colleges in Puducherry, Gujrat, Rajasthan, Haryana & Himachal Pradesh is offering NRI seats.
3-15% of seats reserved under the NRI quota.
MBBS Management Quota Seats
You can join MBBS through Management quota seats during the stray vacancy counseling.
Even after conducting 3 rounds of counseling, there is a high possibility that seats remain unfilled in private & deemed universities.
Especially the NRI & Management quota seats because of the high tuition fee.
Stray vacancy counseling is conducted by respective colleges where the seats are vacant.
Medical Colleges are allowed to fill all the vacant NRI & Management seats on their own.
The list of students who have registered for the counseling is provided to the colleges by the counseling authorities.
Stray vacancy counseling is for students who have not been allotted any seat during the 3 rounds of counseling.
You can approach the colleges for NRI & Management quota seats.

MBBS Management quota Eligibility criteria
Eligibility criteria for MBBS management quota are as follows:
1) Indian Nationals, NRI, OCI, & PIO students must appear in the NEET-UG.
2) Your age must be 17 years or more at the time of admission.
3) The upper age limit for students seeking admission in MBBS shall be 25 years.
4) Must have passed class 12th (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as compulsory subjects.
5) Minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology at the qualifying examination.
6) Students appearing in the Class 12th examination can also appear for the NEET entrance test.
7) You must secure 50 percentile marks in NEET-UG for direct admission in MBBS.

Direct admission in MBBS is based on the NEET UG exam.
