NIT Delhi celebrated the 73rd Republic Day at the permanent campus. As part of 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav', inaugurated 'Nanhe-Parindey', an initiative for educating underprivileged children.

Prof. (Dr) Ajay K. Sharma earlier Vice Chancellor of IKG Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar from 27th March 2018 to 26th August 2021. Ambedkar NIT, Jalandhar.
Sharma has assumed the charge of Director of the National Institute of Technology, Delhi on 21st September 2021. Sharma is a former Vice-Chancellor, IKGPTU, Jalandhar (Punjab), and former Director, NIT Delhi, NIT Hamirpur & IIIT Una. Sharma is a Senior Professor (currently on lien) in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Dr. B.R. He carries over more than three decades of experience in teaching, research, and various leadership roles in Central Government/State Government.

Today had a courtesy meeting with Eminent Educationist Prof. Yogesh Singh (Vice Chancellor, Delhi university) and discussed many issues related to implementation of National Education Policy. I am sure that under the leadership of Prof. Yogesh Singh Delhi University will achieve new heights of fame.

It was nice to welcome Shri Anand Kumar renowned educationist and founder of Super-30 at NIT Delhi. He had a very interactive interaction session with faculty members of NIT Delhi. Shri Anand Kumar said that the role of a teacher in nation-building is very important.
