The Day My Scooter Was Towed and Kindness Won
Imagine going shopping in Delhi after a long year, excited to buy some new summer clothes. You park your scooter properly and head inside. But when you come out, the scooter is gone! The special task force had towed it, even though it wasn't in a No Parking zone.
Feeling anxious, confused, and angry, you start looking around for answers. A passerby tells you it was towed away by a crane, picked out for no clear reason. You call the special task force stations, and after some time, you're told your scooter might be at a station 10 kilometers away.
Just as you're wondering what to do next, a kind stranger offers to help and gives you a ride to the police station. But when you get there, your scooter isn't there either. Then, another helpful stranger steps in. He makes several phone calls trying to find where your scooter is. After several tries, you finally find out it's been towed to another police station, 15 kilometers in the opposite direction. By the time you get there by autorickshaw, you're tired, anxious, and upset with the whole system.
When you finally get your scooter back, then the special task force official threaten to charge you a huge fine for no reason, making you even more upset, but it ends up being just a small towing fee (legally valid).
Just when you thought the day couldn't get any more stressful, you realize the things you bought are gone and finally reached to home explaining every moment to dear ones.
But then, out of nowhere, you get a call. It's from a man named Islam Bhai, who found your shopping bags in his auto. He went out of his way to return them to you, even though the special task force officers wanted to keep them. Islam Bhai chose to do the right thing, showing that his religion is humanity and his duty is to do what's ethical. This story isn't just about a day of shopping gone wrong. It's about the kindness of strangers in a big city.
Three people you didn't know helped you out when they didn't have to. It shows that even when things don't go as planned, and some people in charge make things harder, there are always good people around who make the world a better place.
Humanity is still very much alive because of people like Islam Bhai and the other two strangers who help me in unexpected ways.
