ZENITH - 2012 DETAILS OF EVENTS
27th January’2012 (Day-1) Friday
Karobaar (Bulls & Bear) Time: 10 AM Venue: Auditorium
• Each team will have two members
• Maximum 2 teams are allowed from one college.
• The contest will consist of 2 rounds, first round being the elimination round.
• The elimination round (first) will be of business quiz format and will test the teams’ elementary knowledge about the stock market.
• 6 teams will be selected for the final round.
• The final round will have three legs:
o Security Purchase Round
o Security Purchase & Sale Round
o Security Sale Round
• Winner will be decided on the basis of maximum profit generated at the end.
Web Masters: Time: 10:30 AM Venue: Lab I
• Each team will have two members
• Maximum two teams from one college
• Each team will have to create a website using HTML
• Maximum time allowed is 45 minutes
• The teams will be provided with Internet so that they can make the site more advanced.
• The participants will not be allowed to use any external device / paper etc.
Algologist : Time: 10:30 AM Venue: Lab II
• Each team will have two members
• Maximum two teams from one college
• Students can’t use computers or calculators
• Any one found using unfair means will be disqualified
• Maximum time allowed is 45 minutes
• Each team needs to write their college name on top of the sheet.
Error Busters: Time: 10:30 AM Venue: Lab III
• Each team will have two members
• Maximum two teams from one college
• Each team shall be provided with some programs, they have to tell the errors! output in the program.
• The team, which finds maximum errors, will be declared as winner.
• The questions will be asked from C and C++ languages.
• The questions in preliminaries will be asked from C programming only.
Baazi (Market Strategy-make a promotion) Time: 11:00 AM Venue: Syndicate Room
• Each team will have two members
• Maximum 2 teams are allowed from one college.
• A Product will be given to students 45 minutes before the event.
• Every team will be given 30 minutes to prepare their promotional plans.
• The students will prepare its market strategy and a presentation.
• 10 minutes will be given for making presentations and 05 minutes for question & answers.

Cryptography Time: 11:30 AM Venue: Syndicate Room
• Each team will have two members
• Maximum 1 team from one college.
Round 1: ( Elimination Round)
• 10 MCQ Questions will be provided to each team.
• Time limit of 20 minutes will be provided for solving 10 questions.
• Each question is of 2 marks
• No negative Marking for this round.
• Top 5 scorers will be selected for second round.
Round 2: (Final Round)
• 1 encrypted paragraph will be provided to each team to decrypt.
• Every correct word will be granted 1 mark and every incorrect word will deduct ½ mark.
• Spelling mistakes are not allowed.
Final winner will be selected on the basis of Grand Total of both rounds
Laughter Challenge: Time: 12:00 Noon Venue: Auditorium
• Single person entry is allowed.
• Maximum two entries from one college are allowed.
• Will be held in both, Hindi and English languages.
• Maximum time allowed is 5 minutes.
• Negative marking will be done for exceeding the time limit.
• In case of two members posting the same joke in a round, “First Come First Served” rule shall be applied.
• Presenter should avoid jokes which may hurt one’s religious or community sentiments.
• Vulgarity must be avoided & Decency should be maintained.
Bujho to Jaanen (IT Quiz) Time: 1:00 PM Venue: Syndicate Room
• Each team will have maximum 3 participants.
• At the most 2 teams from each college are allowed.
• All rounds are elimination rounds.
• All rounds are subject to time limit.
• Bonus +5 marks are given in case of right answering of transferable question.
• In case 2 teams have same marks, then the winner will be decided on the basis of tie-breaking questions.
Bujho to Jaanen (Business Quiz) Time: 1:30 PM Venue: Room no. 101
• Each team will have maximum 3 participants.
• Maximum 1 team from each college is allowed.
• There will be 6 rounds-
o Punch-Line
o Identify the CEO (buzzer Round) (Elimination Round)
o CSR Initiatives by the Company
o M & A (Elimination Round)
o Logo / Trademark round
o Rapid Fire (Buzzer) Round
• 5 seconds will be given for answering the question.
• There will be negative marking for wrong answers.
Naara Lage Pyaraa Time: 02:00 PM Venue: Auditorium
• Each team will have two members
• Maximum 1 team from each college is allowed.
• There will be 3 rounds-
o Complete the punch line
o Identify the punch line
o Amend the punch line
IT Games - LAN Games Time: 02:00 PM Venue: Lab-I
• Not more than two participants from one college.
• There will be one game to be played.
• Maximum time allowed is 20 minutes.
• The player which has maximum points after 20 minutes will be the winner.
• There should not be any discussions between teams or use of unfair means.
• Individual players have to show their points to the event coordinator.
IT Games - C Programming Time: 02:30 PM Venue: Lab-II
• Each team will have two members
• Not more than 1 team is allowed to participate from a college.
• There will be 2 questions, one easy program and another tough program.
• Total time allowed is 25 minutes to make 2 programs.
• There should not be any use of unfair means; if this happens then the team will get disqualified.
• Teams have to put the files on the desktop and inform the coordinator when they finish programming.
• Winners will be decided on the basis of time taken in making the programs.
• Teams have to raise their hands after making the program.
Ad Mad Show: Time: 02:45PM Venue: Auditorium
• Maximum 3 participants per team.
• At the most 2 teams from one college are allowed.
• There will be 3 rounds-
o Tag My Mug – 10 minutes
o Radio Gaga– 10 minutes
o Video killed the Radio Star– 15 minutes
Manthan (IT Crossword) Time: 03:00 PM Venue: Syndicate Room
• Maximum 2 participants per team.
• Only one team per college.
• Duration 15 minutes.
• Teams will be given crossword on the spot.
• Competitors will be primarily judged on the basis of marks scored by them.
Dumb Charades Time: 03:30 PM Venue: Syndicate Room
• Each team will have 2 members.
• Four rounds will be conducted.
• Maximum time limit is 2 minutes.
• Only one person is allowed to act at a time from corresponding team and each member can act only once.
• Movies can be of Hollywood or Bollywood.
• No sounds or lip movements are allowed. Actor cannot point to object or person to show something.
• Each round carries 10 points. In case, the team is not able to guess, the chance shall be given to remaining two teams. This would carry 5 points.
28th January’2012 (Day-2) Saturday
Geet Gaata Hun Main (Solo Singing-girls & boys) Time: 10:00 AM Venue: Auditorium
• Only one participant from a college.
• Duration 4 minutes.
• Karaoke allowed.
• Participants should bring their own track.
• The participants can carry their own instruments.
• Vulgarity must be avoided and decency must be maintained.
Duet Singing Time: 10:30 AM Venue: Auditorium
• One team of two participants from a college.
• Duration 4 minutes.
• Karaoke allowed.
• Participants should bring their own track.
• The participants can carry their own instruments.
• Vulgarity must be avoided and decency must be maintained.
Khul Ja Sim Sim (Treasure Hunt) Time: 10:30 AM Venue: Campus
• Only 2 teams are allowed per college.
• Maximum 4 participants per team.
• Duration of the event 2 hours.
• Clues will be hidden, which have to be found and treasure is to be found in shortest time.
Antraa Mukhda (Antakshri) Time: 11:30AM Venue: Auditorium
• 2 members per team.
• Maximum 1 team from each college.
• There will be 4 rounds-
(1) Geet Gata Chal
o Each team has to sing a full first verse or mukhda of the song.
o There are 2 parts in the first round.
(2) Bujho to Jaane
o Team participants have to name the movie and then sing its song.
o There are 2 legs in this round.
o Elimination round.
(3) Bollywood Meri Jaan
o Team participants have to guess the actors & actresses of the movie and they have to sing a song of same movie
o Elimination round.
(4) Pehchan kaun
o For each team, an audio will be played for 15 seconds. Only after the audio stops, the team will be given 15 seconds to guess the song. In total, the team will have 30 seconds to sing full mukhda of the song.
Rang Barse (Rangoli) Time: 12:00 Noon Venue: Campus Ground
• Each team will have two members
• Maximum 2 teams from each college.
• The theme of Rangoli shall be given on the spot.
• One hour will be allotted to each team for showing their creativity.
• Team members will bring their own stationery equipment and colors.
• No borrowing or lending of colors and other stationeries is allowed.
Face Painting ( Ru Ba Ru) Time: 12:00 Noon Venue: Campus Ground
• Maximum two teams with maximum of two participants in each team from one college
• One of the students will be painter and other will be canvas.
• The painter will paint on the face of other participant..
• Maximum time allowed is 45 minutes.
• Theme will be given on the spot.
• Participants should bring their own material.
• Use of mirror is not allowed.
Nache Mayuri (Solo Dancing-girls & boys) Time: 01:00 PM Venue: Auditorium
• Maximum 1 participant in each category from one college.
• Maximum Duration 5 minutes.
• Participants should bring their own CDs.
• Vulgarity & Obscenity must be avoided. Decency should be maintained.
Waltz Around (Group Dance) Time: 02:00 PM Venue: Auditorium
• Maximum 2 teams per college with minimum 4 and maximum 6 participants.
• 5 -10 minutes will be given to the students for performance.
• The participants are requested to bring two CDs to avoid technical disturbance. They should submit one CD to the event coordinator.
• Participants are requested to kindly keep the dance area in proper condition after their performance.
• No props will be provided by the organizers. If required, props can be entertained but with the permission of the coordinator. The participants will be marked negative if they carry the props without the permission.
• Lighting of matchsticks, candles and ci******es are strictly not allowed on stage.
• The choreography should be based on some specified theme.
• Vulgarity & Obscenity must be avoided. Decency should be maintained.
Super Stars (Mr. & Ms. Zenith) Time: 03:00 PM Venue: Auditorium
• Individual entries only.
• Maximum one girl and one boy are allowed from same college.
• Introduction (1 minute)
• Catwalk (1 minute)
• Talent show (3+1 minute)
• Question round
• Participants have to bring their own CDs, instruments, etc.
Other Events
Registration - 09:00 AM onwards - Ground Floor
Tambola - 10 AM onwards - 1st Floor Lobby
Musical Chair - 10 AM onwards - 2nd Floor Lobby
General Instructions
1. The decision of the judges will be final and binding on all teams/participants. No protest will be entertained against the official’s decision.
2. No registration / participation fee is payable for any participation.
3. Students are required to register their names in time for participation preferably by sending email to zenith.gibs2012@ gmail.com or by telephone / mobile to zenith coordinators.
4. Only bonafide, full time student, who is enrolled for a diploma, degree or post graduate degree under University or other recognized colleges/institutes are eligible to participate.
5. Participants are required to carry their identity card on both days of the event.
6. No limits on the number of events in which the students from a single college can participate.
7. Any canvassing or misconduct shall lead to disqualification.
8. Participating teams/students have to carry music, musical instruments, dresses or any other items required for participating in the event.
9. Participating teams/students are hereby informed that the use of fireworks inside the campus is strictly prohibited.
10. The details regarding events can be obtained form the Enquiry Desk on the day of event.
11. The institute will not be responsible for any loss or accident, during the event.
12. Any damage done to the property of the institute by any participant will have to be compensated by the team’s manager/student/institute.
13. There will be two prizes (Winner & Runner Up) for each event.
