The program cultivates the participants’ creativity by process oriented art projects that support learning across the curriculum. The course offers new insights into art and challenges participants to think critically about art and ideas. Reflection is an integral component of this course and will take the form of group discussions and individual sketchbook reflections. To build technique and foster student innovation, lessons investigate the properties and possibilities of materials and ideas. Collaborative approach creates natural opportunities for interdisciplinary learning, and will become the soil for new ideas and solutions. Importance is given to exploring, thinking and participating in the artistic process. The workshops is divided in to various topics, and each topic accompanies a lesson plan. Your child is nurtured through concept discussions, slide presentations, practical projects, and art appreciation through works of famous artists. Each topic is covered in detail over a period of four weeks. Your child is encouraged to write about their learning, process, and experience, which is essential not only for the interpretation of their own artwork, but also to give your child a chance to ponder on their thoughts and curiosity. The workshop caters to two age groups – Group A for 5-7 year olds, and Group B for 8-10 year olds. To ensure focused learning, the size of each group does not exceed 8 participants. Classes are held once-a-week on Saturdays, for 75 minutes. The venue for the workshop is a creative and comfortable indoor-outdoor studio space in R. Puram, Sector 12, New Delhi. Even though a longer commitment is recommended, we happily accommodate children on a pay-per-class basis (first come first serve). Options for fee structures are daily (Rs. 1,000), monthly (Rs. 4,000) or quarterly (Rs. 10,000).
