Discovering Questions

Discovering Questions We are an attempt to build an understanding and spawn a scientific temperament in students. We make them rangers!

Inspired by Professor Yash Pal's book, Discovered Questions, this organisation aims to provide understanding built over what one already perceives. We promote observation, perception, wonder and self learning and create an attitude that properly blends deep sciences, their applications and the economic and commercial approach with the the inherent creativity, imagination and curiosity that people have. We use tools like magic to increase interest and interactiveness, while posing problems that puzzle the brain's analytical and imaginative abilities and knowledge quotient at the same time.

Let's start the digging with some respect to Neil Bohr :-
Q) If you are given a barometer, can you measure the height of a building?
>Obviously, we can measure the change in atmospheric pressure between the ground and and the top the building and calculate the height_
>We can the drop the barometer from the top and measure the time taken to reach the bottom, we can then use equations of motion to calculate the height_
>We can go to the top and throw a brick on the barometer from there (use it for taking a measurement), calculate the force and then do laws of motion all over again_
>the best, go to the building maintenance manager and ask him the height of the building in return for the barometer :)
