Good teachers know how to bring out the best in students :)

In this session of Paathshala, short moral stories were shown to the students. They responded well to the questions based on the stories. To introduce the topic of space and spatial understanding, we talked about the objects like wall clock, table, blackboard, etc. with which the children were already familiar. They drew different shapes in their notebooks and named them. At the end, they were given a home task to make a hut using different shapes and colour it.

Ankush and Nupur (Core members of LECIN) met new Pathshaala volunteers in Ramanujan college today. Briefed them about the curriculum, various teaching styles and methods through a training program.

The Centre for Social Innovation, is an Initiative of the department of Computer Science, Ramanujan College. It aims to bring a change in the Society through the Ideas, Creativity and Innovation of the young minds. It operates in the spaces between sectors and among a vibrant mix of people, projects and organization.

The Centre hosts a *Star innovation project funded by University of Delhi,* by the name, *Sociovation* which is about creating a web portal that is a collaboration of various organizations and experts working to resolve various social issue.
Also, the Centre has initiated a new program, *Paathshala-Ek kadam Saksharta ki ore* . The aim of the project is to cater underpriviledged children for their holistic and all round development. The project has kept its foundation and we are soon going to begin with teaching sessions in the college premises.

We require a good team of enthusiastic, sincere and dedicated volunteers for the success of our endeavours. If you are itching to bring about a change in the society, it's a good opportunity to be a part of this project. We welcome entries for the Centre, Sociovation and Pathshaala
