Dear Alumni,

We were delighted to host Mr. Santosh Reddy, Senior Director at GEP Worldwide, our alumnus from the MBA(IB) 2004-06 batch, as a part of the 8th edition of Vivaan - The Flagship Annual Business Summit of IIFT Kolkata.

Mr Santosh Reddy enlightened us and gave us insights about what makes India unique, it’s holistic development around global sports, education and its stance on the neighbouring countries.

He spoke about how the Gatishakti Yojana will shape India’s growth in the coming years and how we as professionals can contribute towards this growth by being a part of the solution.

The students of IIFT are extremely thankful to Mr. Santosh for taking time out from his busy schedule to address the batch and enriching the students with his immense knowledge.

Greetings from the Alumni Relations Committee!

There's nothing like reminiscing with old friends, a chance to share some memories and play those same old songs again.

Kolkata – The city of Joy saw the Kolkata Chapter meet being organized in person, on campus, after 2 long years! The meeting was held on 16th July, 2022, at the IIFT Kolkata Campus.

The evening began with an introductory note by the Chapter Head, Mr. Maharishi Singhal followed by an address by the Campus Head, Dr. K. Rangarajan.

This was followed by a presentation on the recent activities and achievements of the Alumni Relations Committee and other student bodies at IIFT. The event had the Alumni reminisce about their memories at their alma mater and share their ideas for the future of the chapter and IIFT.

The event was full of nostalgia, laughter, and lots of fun! We thank our entire alumni base of IIFTians in Kolkata for their support towards the event and the Chapter Head Mr. Maharishi Singhal for his constant guidance and efforts towards making this event a grand success.

The Alumni Relations Committee is very proud to inform you that our alumnus Mr. Rajarshi Gupta has been appointed as the Managing Director of ONGC Videsh Limited

Mr. Gupta, IIFT alumnus from the MBA (IB) Batch of 2004-06, has more than 33 years of experience in his domain and was also the Gold Medallist from his Batch at IIFT.

Prior to being appointed MD of ONGC Videsh, Mr. Gupta served as Executive Director, Chief of Corporate Strategy and Planning at ONGC, where he was in charge of developing the company’s short, medium, and long-term strategies.

The Alumni Relations Committee takes immense pride in congratulating Mr. Rajarshi Gupta for his success and wishes him good luck in all his future endeavors.

Dear Alumni,

Following our successful Domestic Chapter Meets, the Division of Alumni Affairs organized our International Chapter Meets in Singapore, London, and North America

The Singapore Chapter Meet was organized on 7th June. Dr. Sheeba Kapil was present from the Institute's side. The event was possible with the support of our Chapter Head Guru Pandit and the Singapore Alumni Association

The London Chapter Meet was organized on 8th July. Dr. Niti Nandini Chatnani, Head of the Division of Alumni Affairs, represented the institute at the meet. Alumni across various batches were present at the event

The North America Chapter Meet was organized on 23rd July in New Jersey, USA. The event was graced by the presence of our Hon. Vice Chancellor Dr. Manoj Pant and Dr. Ravi Shanker. This meeting after 4 years was a step towards multiple engagements as well as emerging active Canada Chapter!

Further Chapter Meets are planned in Dubai, Chennai, and Delhi - so please stay tuned!

With new international chapters planned, the Alumni Relations Committee is excited about the endeavor to connect our alumni all across the globe.

The Alumni Relations Committee is immensely proud to inform you that our alumnus Mr. Pratik Gauri's venture 5irechain has turned into a Unicorn after raising $100 Mn in Series A funding

Mr. Pratik Gauri, IIFT alumnus from the MBA (IB) Batch of 2014-16, is a serial Indian social entrepreneur, investor, public speaker and writer widely known as the Creator of the 5th Industrial Revolution. Times 40u40, Entrepreneur 35u35, and AsiaOne 40u40 winner - we had the honour of interviewing Mr Gauri one on one!

The latest episode of Tarang - Entrepreneur Speaks is now out, featuring our very own Pratik Gauri! Tune in for a deeper insight into his creative mind and a fun surprise session at the end!

Aamchi Mumbai saw the Mumbai Chapter meet being organised in person after 2 long years!

Dr. Deepankar Sinha from IIFT was present at the event. The evening began with an introductory note by our Chapter Head, Mr Rajiv Gatne. This was followed by a presentation on the recent activities of the Division of Alumni Affairs, and then the networking began!

The event was full of reminiscence, laughter, and lots of fun! We are grateful to Mr Rajiv Gatne and Mr Brian D’Souza for their crucial role in making the event a success

Dear Alumni,

We were pleased to host Mr. Pranjal Parihar, Vice President - Commercial Banking, HSBC, an alumnus from the MBA (IB) batch of 2014-16, as part of our InVision Series of guest lectures.

Mr. Parihar spoke to the batch of 2022-24 about the opportunities in the banking industry; and how one can build a career in the industry. He also shared anecdotes explaining how the batch can make the most out of the MBA program and how they can leverage the rich alumni base of IIFT.

The Alumni Relations Committee extends their sincerest gratitude to Mr. Parihar for taking his precious time out and enriching us with his immense knowledge.
