ACM IIITD brings to you another exciting event to learn and code! This time with a slight twist.
We present to you our unique space-optimization coding competition!
Minimise the memory-used while solving problems and you're good to go!
(Yes, you can finally stop worrying about time complexities this time around.)
For Example, at codespace, we'll prefer a person who did a problem using just 2 variables than the one who did it using 3, i.e, to print the sum of two numbers say a & b :
a = a+b is preferred over c = a + b

Congratulations to HMI and MIDAS labs for their paper at . This amazing work is done by our students
Vidit Jain and Maitree Leekha and their mentors Jainendra Shukla and Rajiv Ratn Shah from the Departments of Computer Science & Engineering and Human Centered Design at IIIT Delhi.
is the CORE A* conference in the area of Human Computer Interaction (HCI) and had received 2844 submissions this time and the papers committee accepted 749, i.e., 26.3% of them.
In this work (title: Exploring Semi-Supervised Learning for Predicting Listener Backchannels), authors have proposed using semi-supervised techniques to automate the process of identifying backchannels, thereby easing the annotation process.

Abstract: A career in IT is undoubtedly one of the most sought after in India, and is one that probably the largest number of Engineers (as well as non-engineers) go for. College education in CS/IT (as well as related disciplines) is expected to prepare the students for a career in IT. Often, however, colleges are not able to build sufficient knowledge and skills to provide a good launching for the career to the students. In this presentation-cum-discussion, first an overview of what a career in IT industry means is discussed. Then it discusses what are the capabilities needed to get a good start in the career. Finally, it discusses what students can do while they are in college to prepare themselves for a successful and satisfying career in IT.

CTiS is an annual event organized by CSpathshala, an ACM India education initiative to promote computational thinking in schools. CTiS provides a platform for schools and teachers implementing computational thinking to share their experiences.
The event will be held from 2-5 pm IST on both days with a special keynote session at 8:30 pm IST / 11 am EST on October 2 by Prof. Jeannette Wing, Avanessians Director, Data Science Institute at Columbia University. The virtual conference will feature panel discussions and presentations of selected abstracts with sessions on implementation of computational thinking, fun activities and innovative examples used by teachers in classrooms.
The event is open to all educators as well as those involved and interested in computing education.
Registration is free. For registration and agenda visit https://lnkd.in/dGnzMRN.
