BREAKING NEWS A proposal has been laid on the table in the Union Health Ministry which says that all medical aspirants desirous of pursuing MBBS abroad shall have to qualify NEET in INDA and obtain a No Objection Certificate from the authority. This is likely to be implemented from the year NEET 2018.
OBJECTIVE : This has been done with a view to encourage students with good academic record to obtain the MBBS degree from abroad. Every foreign student has to appear in the test over here once he or she obtains the degree from overseas. The success rate in such exams is low for various reasons, and certainly not the quality of education provided by foreign universities to Indian students. One should note that there is no foreign university which imparts education to just Indian students and not their own nationals. What the government intends to achieve from this is that only competitive students obtain MBBS degrees from abroad.
CURRENT NEET QUALIFYING CRITERIA – Though it depends upon number of factors, for the general students it is 50 percentile at the moment, and for SCs/STS/OBCs it is 40 percentile.
WHAT PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS NEED TO DO – Given the scenario, it is recommended that you fulfill your dream of becoming a doctor by studying abroad this year without wasting another year.

OMR Sheet for NEET 2017 is expected to be uploaded on the NEET website on 20 May 2017 (Tentative). OMR stands for Optical Mark Recognition. OMR sheet gives the candidate an estimate of his score if he/she remembers the answers marked by him/her in the exam. The score in turn helps one to understand one's position and make a decision on further course of action. Though we at Black Coat Consultants wish that all hard working students succeed in NEET, but given the number of applicants (about 11.6 lacs) and the number of seats (approx. 63000) the success ratio is very low.

Finally, the day has arrived for which you have toiled relentlessly, sacrificing many things. With now less than 24 hours left, please:

>MAINTAIN your calm and compose
>REVISE in a relaxed manner
>DO NOT panic, stressed out or worried. This may spoli your day tomorrow
>REMEMBER to carry your admit card, passport size photograph, and proforma as required by NEET
>REACH THE EXAMINATION CENTRE at least minimum 15-30 minutes before the scheduled arrival time. Traffic is unpredictable and you may be new to the geography. MAKE USE of GOOGLE MAP to navigate.
>GETTING LATE will make you stressed and you may not be able to concentrate better.
>STAY HYDRATED as the weather is hot
>FOLLOW the guidelines issued by CBSE-NEET in TOTALITY. They do not comprise.
>FAMILIARIZE: If possible, familiarize with your centre in advance. If too far, just leave early on the exam day.

In the light of the previous experiences, NEET authorities are putting in place all mechanism which can ensure that the exam is conducted in a highly professional, fair and transparent manner. Our experience shows that the centres notified for the exam have elaborate guidance in place and believe me, they strictly ADHERE to it. So, please don't take any chances and follow the guidelines as given below:

You are NOT ALLOWED to carry the following items in the exam centre:
>Textual Matter- written or printed
>Geometry box, pencil box, plastic, pouch, calculator, pen, scale, pen drive, eraser, log table, scanner, electronic pen etc.
>Communication device - mobile phone, Bluetooth, earphones, microphone, pager, health band
>Wallet, sunshades, handbags, belts, cap etc.
>ATM credit, debit, plastic identity card, remote key, communication system with magnetic tapes. KEY OF YOUR VEHICLE IS VERY IMPORTANT IF YOU ARE NOT ACCOMPANIED BY FAMILY.
>Watch, wrist watch, camera
>Any kind of metallic item
>Eatables of any kind and/or opened or packed water bottles.

DRESS CODE:
>Light clothes with half sleeves
>No clothes with big buttons, brooch, badge, flower etc.
>Slippers, sandals with low heels
>No shoes, socks
>For girls especially, No fancy, big or broad hair clips. Best would be to put a simple rubber band.

To summarize, please ensure that you are not taking anything with you which could raise a suspicion about it being used for unfair means.
