*Venkateshwar Global School Celebrates India’s 80th Independence Day with Patriotic Fervour*

Venkateshwar Global School celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm. The celebrations brought together students from *Nestling to Grade XII* through a series of engaging activities, inspiring assemblies and vibrant cultural performances, beautifully blending the spirit of freedom with the values of unity, responsibility and patriotism.

Students from *Nestling to Grade II* celebrated Independence Day by participating in a vibrant Tricolour Parade, proudly displaying the colours of the national flag. The celebration also featured creative activities such as tear-and-paste craft, kite drawing and tricolour-themed artwork, making the occasion an enjoyable, engaging and enriching learning experience.

Students of *Grades III to VI* presented a special Independence Day Assembly featuring patriotic performances, inspiring speeches and cultural presentations. The National Flag was unfurled, followed by the National Anthem, filling the atmosphere with pride and patriotism. The young students presented soulful renditions of patriotic songs and showcased their talent through vibrant cultural performances celebrating the spirit of the nation.

The celebrations continued with a special Independence Day Assembly presented by students of Grades *VII to XII.* Inspiring speeches and thought-provoking cultural presentations celebrating India’s rich heritage and unity in diversity were showcased.

The celebrations served as a meaningful reminder that the spirit of independence is reflected not only in our rights but also in our responsibilities as citizens. It inspired young Venkateshwarians to cherish the values of freedom, democracy and unity while embracing their responsibilities as confident, compassionate and responsible citizens of the nation.

VGS' PRINCIPAL AND PRE PRIMARY COORDINATOR ATTEND SESSION ON 'THE POWER OF PRODUCTIVE FAILURE'

VGS' Principal, Dr Namita Singhal and Pre Primary Wing Coordinator, Ms Shivali Narula attended an insightful masterclass on “The Power of Productive Failure” by Prof. Manu Kapur, on Aug 4, 2026, in Vasant Valley School, New Delhi. The workshop offered a fresh perspective on how meaningful struggle can become a powerful pathway to deeper learning.

The session highlighted the importance of allowing learners to explore, generate ideas, make predictions, encounter challenges and learn from errors before formal instruction and consolidation. Productive Failure encourages children to move beyond simply providing solutions and instead, create opportunities for students to think, inquire, experiment and construct understanding.

A key takeaway was that a well-designed struggle can unlock deeper learning. By connecting new learning with prior experiences and giving learners the space to generate and refine their own ideas, one can make learning more meaningful, lasting and transferable.

Venkateshwar Global School proudly congratulates its young innovators for their commendable performance at the World STEM & Robotics Olympiad (WSRO) India, held on August 4, 2026.

The students demonstrated creativity, scientific thinking, technical skills, and teamwork across various categories:

Students of Grades VI- VIII Redefine Personal Space Through the Bubble of Comfort

As part of the ongoing 'My Body, My Rights' initiative, students of Grades VI- VIII participated in the insightful 'Bubble of Comfort' activity on August 6, 2026 to deepen their understanding of personal boundaries, consent and mutual respect. Thought-provoking discussions encouraged reflection on personal space and the understanding that comfort levels differ from one individual to another.

The activity enabled students to create their own comfort bubbles by identifying trusted individuals and safe spaces while recognising the importance of communicating boundaries with confidence. It reinforced the value of seeking consent, respecting others' personal space and building healthy, respectful relationships through everyday interactions.

The session concluded with meaningful reflections that nurtured empathy, self-awareness and responsible decision-making, empowering students to foster safe, inclusive and respectful environments both within and beyond the school community.
