Arohi Music Academy was started by Smt. GuriKhamba in the year 2003 at Dwarka, New Delhi. She is having a background of music right from her first guru, her mother Smt. CharanjeetKaur, famous singer of Lahore, her maternal uncle,Mr.Harjeet Singh, former Director Doordarshan, Jalandhar and presently Producer and Director in Hindi Film Industry. Smt.GuriKhamba followed the family tradition of music and has done Sangeet Praveen under the guidance of Pt. Vinay Chandra Maudgalaya and SmtKundaPanse from GandharvaMahavidyalaya. Kesar Singh Narula have been her Gurus and mentors for Light Music, Geet, Ghazal&Bhajan. She has also learnt Kathak from renowned Guru, Sh. DhanrajPawar of Jaipur Gharana. She is an A, Grade artist of All India Radio. DIRECTOR:
Mr.Jasraj Singh, son of Smt. GuriKhamba, is now carrying forward family tradition of music. He is a unique combination of Indian Classical Music as well as Western Music. He has done Prabhakar in Indian Classical Music ( VOCAL ). He is a great Pianist in ( Western Classical ) and Guitar Player ( Rock Style ). He has achieved Grades from Trinity College London. He is recipient of many prestigious awards for his melodious singing and playing musical instruments. His aim is to spread music among masses by adopting/playing different forms of music. A down to earth person& strong believer of Indian values and traditions. He is very much attached to his roots and believes that cultural heritage of our country can be protected by spreading music among younger generation. ACHIEVEMENTS:
