A College having the potential to dethrone St. Stephens, but lacking the zeal to even revamp the Can The Evening College was started in 1973.

Ram Lal Anand College was set up in 1964 by a philanthropist and legal luminary Late Ram Lal Anand, a senior advocate in the Supreme Court of India, to impart education at the University level.
