Today, we receive this with deep gratitude.
VigyanShaala has been awarded the Nikkei Asia Award 2025, one of Asia’s most respected honours for long-term social impact and innovation with a cash award of ¥5 million Japanese Yen.
We are humbled to stand alongside past recipients such as Prof C. N. R. Rao, Nandan Nilekani, Narayana Murthy, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Muhammad Yunus and Saathi.
This recognition belongs to our students. Young people from small towns, hill districts, public colleges and welfare institutions who chose curiosity over doubt and imagined themselves as scientists, researchers and innovators. Many are now learning and researching across India and the world. They are the reason this work matters.
It belongs to our partners, mentors and collaborators who believed that access to science should never be limited by geography, gender or background.
And it belongs to our alumni, who return to carry the joy of science back into their communities.
At VigyanShaala, we are guided by a simple belief: Everyone deserves the opportunity to crate a better world with Scinece. When one young person finds their place in science, an entire ecosystem moves forward.
This award renews our commitment to what lies ahead: reimagining colleges as units of change, building a national cadre of STEM champions, and enabling one million aspiring young minds to experience the joy of science by 2030.
We receive this honour on behalf of everyone who walked this journey with us.
The work continues. Together.

STEM isn’t a club for toppers, it’s a space for thinkers, creators, and curious minds. At VigyanShaala, we believe that the future of science and technology is shaped by those who ask questions, not just those who score the highest marks.🔍
Many of the world’s greatest innovations were built on curiosity, persistence, and the courage to explore the unknown. Yet, so many young students in India hold themselves back because they think STEM is “too hard” or “not for them.” This myth keeps brilliant minds away from opportunities that could change their lives and our world. 🌏
It’s time to rewrite the narrative. STEM needs diversity of thought, creativity, and everyday problem-solving. 💡
If you’re curious, willing to learn, and ready to experiment, STEM is for you. Let’s break myths and build a generation of confident STEM leaders.

Among the forests, calm and deep,
Jane Goodall kept her promise to keep.
With gentle eyes and endless care,
She found the wisdom chimps would share.
She showed the world they think, they feel,
That bonds of love and grief are real.
Through years of work, both kind and long,
She gave the voiceless their rightful song.
Her mission lives, her voice still calls,
Protect the earth—our home, for all.

Did Interstellar’s black hole really follow Einstein’s Relativity? 🌌
In Interstellar, the astronauts land on a planet orbiting the supermassive black hole Gargantua, where one hour corresponds to seven years on Earth. While it appears cinematic, the concept is grounded in Einstein’s Theory of General Relativity.
Einstein proposed that space and time form a single continuum, spacetime, which can be curved by massive objects. A black hole, with immense mass concentrated in a small region, distorts spacetime to an extreme degree. This curvature alters the passage of time: closer to the black hole, gravity is stronger, and time runs more slowly compared to regions farther away. This effect, known as gravitational time dilation, explains the dramatic difference between the astronauts’ experience on Miller’s Planet and the decades that pass on Earth.
Thus, Interstellar effectively illustrates one of the most profound insights of modern physics: that gravity not only shapes space but also dictates the flow of time. It is a striking example of how science and cinema can converge to communicate complex ideas in an accessible way. 🚀
Are you a fan of Interstellar movie?🌝
