The AFS Indore Chapter successfully conducted its chapter meeting with 30 dedicated volunteers at St. Paul’s Sr. Sec. School, Indore.

During the session, the chapter discussed the new guidelines introduced by the National Office (N.O.), ensuring that all volunteers are aligned with the updated framework. Important operational points and key focus areas were reviewed, along with discussions on strengthening chapter activities and outreach initiatives for the year ahead.

The meeting also brought in a strong international perspective with the presence of Ms. Georgina, an exchange student from Switzerland, currently hosted by SDPS. She shared her enriching intercultural experiences, offering valuable insights that inspired volunteers and highlighted the essence of global citizenship.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, reflecting collaboration, learning, and a shared commitment to fostering intercultural understanding and active global citizenship.

The AFS Anand Chapter successfully conducted its chapter meeting with the presence of 27 enthusiastic volunteers

The meeting marked a special moment of transition as the chapter came together to facilitate a smooth and meaningful handover of office bearers. The session reflected appreciation for past leadership while welcoming new energy, ideas, and commitment for the journey ahead.

Volunteers also engaged in an important discussion on the new SOP shared by the National Office (N.O.), gaining clarity on structured processes and expectations. The chapter explored how to effectively implement these guidelines to strengthen coordination, planning, and overall impact in the coming year.

The gathering was filled with collaboration, positivity, and a shared vision of building stronger intercultural connections and active global citizenship.

A heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers for their continued dedication and active participation.

The domestic class exchange between AFS India Member Schools, hosted by Sunbeam School, Sarnath, brought together students from LK Singhania School, Gotan and Vidya Niketan Birla Public School, Pilani, creating a vibrant platform for cultural sharing, experiential learning, and meaningful connections.

Through immersive heritage visits, cultural explorations in Varanasi, creative workshops, and collaborative activities, students from the participating schools engaged deeply with diverse traditions, broadening their perspectives while building lasting friendships.

The programme beautifully embodied the true spirit of cultural exchange, fostering mutual understanding, respect, empathy, and a strong sense of global citizenship.

AFS India had the wonderful opportunity to connect with AFS USA and the AFS partner countries, along with volunteers and alumni, at the ECA Workshop in Washington, D.C.

The experience reaffirmed our shared commitment to strengthening intercultural exchange and building a more connected world. From engaging in strategic discussions on program innovation to exploring ways to foster inclusive volunteer communities, the workshop created a meaningful space for collaboration and learning.

Ms Diya Badgel, Partner Director AFS India was on the international partners panel. AFS Alumni Siddharth, Chintan and Diego attended the Alumni workshop. All proudly represented India at the International Bazaar, and advocacy for international exchange at Capitol Hill.

It was truly inspiring to connect with a passionate global network and deepen our collective impact, and we look forward to what lies ahead.

The Kiwi journey begins!

5 students from India embarked on an enriching cultural exchange journey in New Zealand on 13 April 2026. The participants are from Indore Public School, Indore; Royal Global School, Guwahati; and The Emerald Heights International School, Indore.

During the program they will:
