This is what education should be.
Teaching with the World Peace Game
John Hunter puts all the problems of the world on a 4'x5' plywood board -- and lets his 4th-graders solve them. At TED2011, he explains how his World Peace Game engages schoolkids, and why the complex lessons it teaches -- spontaneous, and always surprising -- go further than classroom lectures can.

Good morning everyone, this morning I was sitting and reflecting on my Son's behaviour. Arjun is 3.5 years old and has been exposed to ipad and smart phone since he was 6 months, it began from 15 mins to an hour and sometimes even two or more during my absence. Everytime he is unsettled, sleepy or hungry, he calls for an ipad. I also observed the growing addiction to the device and withdrawal symptom for the same, he would scream and cry for atleast 20 mins after the device was taken away. It also created a world around him that had unreal characters that created very strong influence on him. He wished everyone to play those games that had the superheros. This was not appreciated by his sister and we could also see growing agression. There are learnings that come with it, I would say his language development was superfast and he is able to express in english which is a second language for all of us. However, all the learning at the cost of this impact is not worth. Hence, I have made a conscious choice of completely withdrawing the device till he is able to make choice on the usage of the device that does not cause damage to his mental, social and physical being.
