At JD Institute, this isn’t just a theme for iFestival 2026, it’s a lived experience in our classrooms.

Our students recently immersed themselves in the rich textile traditions of Peru 🇵🇪—exploring the evolution of clothing systems, the deep symbolism behind ceremonial and royal attire, and the stories woven into every thread.

The highlight? A powerful live demonstration where students stepped into history, donning traditional royal ensembles once worn by the king and queen of ancient Peru. Guided by Mr. Adrián Llave, they further explored authentic Peruvian garments—understanding the meaning behind colours, materials, accessories, and intricate tying techniques.

Through interactive discussions and hands-on learning, our students are not just studying design—they’re embracing global cultures, perspectives, and narratives.
