On the occasion of Seva Diwas, 17th September 2026, 50 Eco-Club students from classes Xth and XIth of St. Gregorios School, Dwarka, participated in the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan – “Aashirwad Ka Diya”, conducted under the guidance of the National Museum of Natural History (NMNH), Ministry of Environment , Forest and Climate Change. The students participated with the kind consent of our respected Principal, Dr. Manoj Kumar, and were accompanied by Eco-Club In-charge teachers Mrs. Malvika Saxena and Mrs. Binu Jacob, along with Mr. Vishal and Mr. Dev. The programme was graced by Shri Bhupender Yadav, Hon’ble Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, as the Chief Guest. The programme focused on environmental protection through reducing the use of plastic, plantation, saving energy and adopting eco-friendly practices. The students took a pledge that with determination and unity, we can protect our environment and keep the spirit of “Aashirwad Ka Diya” glowing. The programme concluded with the recitation of “Vande Mataram” by all the participants, fostering a sense of unity, patriotism and responsibility towards our nation and Mother Earth.

St. Gregorios School, Dwarka, participated in the webinar organised by the Department of Environment, Government of NCT of Delhi, on 16th September 2026 on the occasion of World Ozone Day. The webinar focused on the importance and protection of the Ozone Layer and the need for collective efforts towards environmental conservation. A few students from Classes VII and VIII, along with the Eco Club In-charges, attended the webinar. The students also enthusiastically participated in the online quiz based on the webinar topic and scored full marks, which is highly appreciable and reflects their active participation and understanding of the subject.
The webinar highlighted the vital role of the ozone layer in protecting life on Earth and the need to work together for its protection.

हिंदी दिवस 14 सितंबर को हर साल मनाया जाता है।
सितंबर माह में अर्धवार्षिक परीक्षा के कारण हमारे विद्यालय में 'हिंदी दिवस' 7अगस्त 2026 को मनाया गया। हिंदी दिवस सर्वप्रथम 14 सितंबर 1953 को मनाया गया। भारत एक ऐसा देश है जहां हर कदम पर भाषा बदली जाती है। अतः देशवासियों को एकसूत्र में जोड़ने के लिए हिंदी भाषा का प्रयोग किया जाता है। इसे राष्ट्र भाषा का स्थान दिलाने के लिए और समस्त देशवासियों में एकता की भावना जगाने के लिए हरसाल 14 सितंबर को मनाया जाता है।
इस दिवस को मनाने के लिए कक्षा पहली से कक्षा दसवीं तक अलग-अलग गतिविधियों का आयोजन किया गया।कक्षा पहली के छात्र-छात्राओं ने 'अनेकता में एकता' विषय पर भारत के विभिन्न राज्यों के परिधान में आए,इसके अलावा शुभ कामना कार्ड,स्वर व व्यंजन पर आधारित तोरण बनाना, हिंदी भाषा के उत्थान पर नारा लेखन,शास्त्रीय नृत्य में प्रतिभा की खोज,कविता वाचन,दोहा गायन, साक्षात्कार,और वाद-विवाद आदि गतिविधियां सम्मिलित हैं।
आज हिंदी दिवस पर एक प्रार्थना -सभा का आयोजन किया गया जिसमें आदरणीय फादर और प्रधानाचार्य जी के शुभ उपस्थिती में आरंभ हुआ।इस सभा का शुभारंभ ईश्वर वंदना से किया गया‌। इसके बाद कक्षा पांचवीं की छात्राओं ने गणेश वंदना तथा कत्थक का सुंदर प्रदर्शन किया । तत्पश्चात कक्षा सातवीं और आठवीं के छात्र-छात्रा द्वारा कविता वाचन किया गया। साथ ही संगीत अध्यापिका के द्वारा कक्षा पांचवीं के छात्र-छात्राओं ने हिंदी भाषा पर आधारित गीत का गायन प्रस्तुत किया। संपूर्ण कार्यक्रम का आयोजन हिंदी विभागाध्यक्षा श्रीमती सुजाता भट्टाचार्या के कुशल निर्देशन में किया गया। हिंदी दिवस की इस प्रार्थना सभा के सफल आयोजन के लिए सभी छात्र-छात्राओं व अध्यापिकाओं का सहयोग सराहनीय रहा।

Onam Celebration at St. Gregorios School, Dwarka

St. Gregorios School, Dwarka, celebrated Onam on 10th September 2026 with great joy, enthusiasm, and festive spirit.

The celebration began with an opening prayer led by the teachers, followed by traditional Onam songs and a warm welcome to everyone. The teachers added to the festive atmosphere by arriving dressed in traditional Kerala attire. A beautiful Pookalam, made with colourful flowers, was also prepared to mark the occasion.

The highlight of the celebration was the prize distribution ceremony. Prizes were presented to the winners of the Onam Quiz conducted during the celebration, as well as to the winners of the games organised on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.

A delicious Onam Sadya, featuring a variety of traditional Kerala delicacies, was also arranged as part of the celebrations. The day concluded on a joyful note, leaving everyone with a sense of happiness, togetherness, and the true spirit of Onam.
