Annual Day Celebration 2025*
“Yovel 2025: Faithful Years, Joyful Hearts”
The much-awaited Annual Day Celebration of St. Gregorios School, Dwarka, was held with grandeur and heartfelt joy on the 7th and 8th of November, 2025. Spanning over two spectacular evenings, the event beautifully captured the spirit of this year’s theme — “Yovel 2025: Faithful Years, Joyful Hearts.”
The school campus shimmered with excitement at its 50th Jubilee year as parents, dignitaries, and guests gathered to witness a soulful display of talent, creativity, and teamwork.
The celebration for Classes LKG to II was held on November 7, 2025, with Major General P.K. Sehgal (Retd.) gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest. The young Gregorians stole every heart as they lit up the stage with boundless enthusiasm and innocence. The event began with a solemn Prayer Song by the school choir, followed by the Lighting of the Lamp by the dignitaries and a Welcome Address by the Chairman, Rev. Fr. Pathrose Joy. Our talented students presented a vibrant Welcome Dance, setting the perfect tone for the evening.
The Annual Report presented by Principal Dr. Manoj Kumar highlighted the institution’s achievements, milestones, and aspirations. The Chief Guest, in his inspiring address, lauded the school’s commitment to holistic education and discipline. A special moment of pride was the Honouring of 25 years of dedicated service by teachers and members of the Gregorian family — a testament to the school’s enduring legacy.
The evening’s highlight, the Kaleidoscope of Events — “Echoes of Yovel” — comprised thought-provoking skits and performances by the junior students on themes such as Sovereignty of God, Economic Freedom, Family Restoration, Care for Creation, and Jubilee Celebration. Each act, with its message and music, reflected the innocence, creativity, and moral grounding that define the ethos of the school.
The following day, November 8, 2025, saw the grand celebration by Classes III to XII. Presiding over the event was our spiritual father H.G. Dr. Youhanon Mar Demetrios, Metropolitan, Diocese of Delhi along with Sh. Dinesh Ram, Regional Officer, CBSE Delhi (East), as the Chief Guest. The evening commenced with prayers and the ceremonial lamp-lighting, followed by a warm welcome and a mesmerising dance performance by students.
The Presidential Address by the Metropolitan was deeply inspiring, emphasising faith, perseverance, and the mission of education. The Annual Report presented the academic, cultural, and spiritual growth of the institution, while the Chief Guest’s Address highlighted the school’s consistent excellence and contribution to value-based learning. The event also featured the felicitation ceremony of teachers who completed 25 years of dedicated service in our school along with the award ceremony for academic and sports achievements. These awards highlighted the outstanding merit and commitment among students.
The second day’s Kaleidoscope of Events — “A Legacy of Light & Liberation” — was a spectacular blend of music, drama, and dance. The senior students presented powerful performances on Sovereignty of God, Unshackle, Release & Liberate, Fête de la Joie, and Jubilee Celebration, culminating in a breathtaking Grand Finale that brought the audience to its feet.
Throughout both evenings, the school choir enriched the atmosphere with harmonious renditions. Our Vice Principal, Mrs. Tanuja Chakravarti, proposed the vote of thanks on both days, thankfully acknowledging every guest and every member for joining us for the Jubilee Celebration and also in arranging the resources timely for the successful implementation of the annual day. The organisers and the tech. team ensured seamless lighting, sound, and stage transitions — turning every moment into a visual and auditory delight. The supporting staff and administrative team worked tirelessly behind the scenes, ensuring every detail was perfect — from the stunning decor to the efficient management of guests and participants.
The event concluded with the School Anthem, echoing with pride and unity across the auditorium. The two-day celebration was not just a cultural extravaganza but a heartfelt expression of gratitude, faith, and joy — truly embodying the spirit of “Yovel 2025 – Faithful Years, Joyful Hearts.”
