Ram Lal Anand College, University of Delhi, celebrated Hindi Diwas on 14 September 2026 with an insightful programme jointly organised by the Rajbhasha Implementation Committee and the Hindi Sahitya Parishad.

🎙️ Dr. Naresh Kumar, Deputy Director at the Central Translation Bureau, highlighted the growing relevance of Hindi and emphasised that there is no shortage of career opportunities in the language. He encouraged students to make Hindi a priority, use it consistently, and explore how technology can help take the language further.

💬 Prof. Rakesh Kumar, Coordinator of the Department of Hindi Journalism & Mass Communication, stressed the importance of respecting every language while taking pride in one’s own. He also highlighted the role of understanding the nature and context of words in effective translation.

🌍📜 Human History Is Incomplete Without the Environment

The History Department’s Society ‘Tawaarikh’ at Ram Lal Anand College, University of Delhi, organised its Monthly Lecture on 2 September 2026, exploring the fascinating relationship between human evolution, geography, and the environment.

🎙️ Dr. Vikas Kumar Verma, the keynote speaker, highlighted the importance of symbiotic relationships in human life and how disrupting these connections can affect environmental balance.

From the floods in Nepal to inadequate drainage in Gurugram, the session connected real-world environmental challenges with the concepts of biotic and abiotic factors. 🌱💧

The lecture also took students through key stages of human development — from Homo habilis and the earliest tools to the microlithic tools of the Mesolithic period — showing how humans have continuously adapted to and transformed their surroundings.

🧠 One powerful takeaway stood out:
The environment shapes human civilisation, and human actions shape the environment in return.

History, after all, isn't just about people and dates — it's also the story of our relationship with the world we inhabit. 🌿

🩺❤️ Timely Care Can Save Lives!

Ram Lal Anand College, University of Delhi organised a Health Camp on 3 September 2026 in collaboration with the Department of Hindi Journalism & Mass Communication, Community Radio Tarang 90.0 FM, and Venkateshwar Hospital.

🎙️ Dr. Shipra, Senior Consultant in Medical Oncology at Venkateshwar Hospital, conducted an informative session on cancer awareness, prevention, early detection, and treatment.

The session focused on:
🔹 Cervical and breast cancer awareness
🔹 Understanding risk factors and prevention
🔹 The importance of timely diagnosis and treatment
🔹 Healthy lifestyle choices and avoiding to***co
🔹 Recognising the importance of regular health check-ups

✨ The key message was simple but powerful: early detection and timely treatment can make a life-saving difference.

Following the awareness session, students also participated in health check-ups, turning awareness into action. 🩺

📚✨ Celebrating Hindi, Celebrating Our Literary Heritage! 🇮🇳

Ram Lal Anand College, University of Delhi marked the beginning of Hindi Month on 1 September 2026, organised by the Hindi Sahitya Parishad of the Department of Hindi.

🪔 The celebrations began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by an inspiring address by Principal Prof. Rakesh Kumar Gupta, who highlighted the importance of reading Hindi literature and encouraged students to explore the rich world of Hindi books.

He also urged students to look beyond the usual direction of translation — instead of only translating Hindi into English, learn to translate English into Hindi too! ✍️📖

🎙️ Prof. Archana Gaur, Convenor of the Rajbhasha Implementation Committee, spoke about the growing opportunities available through Hindi, encouraging students to recognise the language not only as a cultural treasure but also as a field of opportunity.

🌱 The month-long celebration is a reminder that languages grow when we read them, write them, translate them, and most importantly — use them.

🚨🩹 Prepared to Respond, Trained to Protect!

Ram Lal Anand College, University of Delhi organised a Disaster Management & Rescue Programme on 1 September 2026, emphasising an essential lesson: knowing what to do in an emergency is only the first step — practising it can make all the difference.

🎙️ Nakul Kumar Tarun, Director of Zone Four Solutions, highlighted the importance of staying mentally strong and being practically prepared for emergencies. He stressed that first-aid knowledge must go beyond theory — it needs to be practised.

🏫 Principal Prof. Rakesh Kumar Gupta emphasised the importance of regular drills and hands-on training in disaster management and rescue operations.

🔥 Participants were given practical demonstrations on:
🔹 Safely evacuating injured or unconscious individuals
🔹 Rescue techniques during fire emergencies
🔹 Basic first-aid procedures
🔹 Responding to burns, breathing difficulties, and bleeding
🔹 Using available resources when ambulances, stretchers, or medical supplies are unavailable

🩺 Master Trainer Inderjeet Singh also explained the importance of checking the airway, breathing, and circulation (ABC) before providing first aid.

⚠️ And one rule every rescuer should remember: Protect yourself first, then help others.

Because in an emergency, preparedness turns knowledge into action. 💪

On the eve of National Sports Day, Ram Lal Anand College, University of Delhi organised a Yuva Connect Programme on 27 August 2026, jointly organised by the Department of Physical Education, NSS, and NCC. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

The event was graced by RLAC alumnus and R.K. Puram MLA Shri Anil Kumar Sharma, along with a live webcast of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address, inspiring young Indians to embrace sports and its many benefits. 🇮🇳

🎙️ Shri Anil Kumar Sharma emphasised that Khelo India is not merely a slogan but a guiding principle. Drawing inspiration from Major Dhyan Chand, he encouraged students to embrace teamwork, dedication, and patriotism.

The Hindi Creative Writing Committee ‘Abhivyakti’ of Ram Lal Anand College, University of Delhi, organised its Orientation on 20 August 2026, featuring an inspiring workshop on Nirala’s creative expression and Swami Vivekananda’s philosophy. 📚🌿

🎙️ Prof. Awadhesh Pradhan, renowned literary critic and former Professor of Hindi at Banaras Hindu University, encouraged students to recognise their inner strength, talent, and courage and face challenges fearlessly.

He emphasised that the true value of knowledge lies not merely in earning a degree, but in how it shapes our character, actions, and lives.
