Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Information Technology (BCIIT) successfully organised the Intra-College Gully Cricket Tournament from 09 to 11 February 2026 at the BCIIT Sports Ground.

The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from BCA 1st Year, BCA 2nd Year, BCA 3rd Year, MCA 1st Year, and MCA 2nd Year, making the event highly competitive and spirited.

The Final Match was played between BCA 2nd Year and MCA 1st Year, in which MCA 1st Year emerged as the Champion, while BCA 2nd Year secured the Runner-up position.

The institute appreciates the sportsmanship, teamwork, and dedication shown by all participants, which made the tournament a memorable success.

🎗 World Cancer Day 2026 | Cancer Awareness – Prevention Is Better Than Cure 🎗

The Eco-Social Club of Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Information Technology organized an online expert talk on 3rd February 2026 via Microsoft Teams to mark World Cancer Day.

The session was hosted by Mr. Adityan (BCA First Year) and featured Dr. Sapna Manocha Verma, Senior Consultant & Academic Advisor (Radiation Oncologist) at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi, with over 25 years of experience.

Dr. Verma shared valuable insights on common cancers, early symptoms, risk factors, preventive measures, and warning signs , with special emphasis on breast cancer and recent advances in diagnosis. The session witnessed active participation from approximately 70 students online and 50 students in the classroom, followed by an engaging Q&A interaction.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Ravish Saggar, College Director. The program was smoothly coordinated by Shivam (BCA Final Year) and Abhishek (Final Year) under the guidance of Dr. Shobha Chawla and Ms. Preeti Sharma.

🎉 Successful Completion of IBM SkillBuild Orientation Workshop 🎉
We are delighted to share the successful completion of the IBM SkillBuild Orientation Workshop, held on 29th January 2026 at BCIIT Auditorium.
The speaker of the session was Uzma Urooj, Associate Manager – CSR Programs, IBMSkillsbuild, who provided valuable insights into the IBM SkillBuild platform, highlighting its role in empowering students with industry-relevant digital skills, career pathways, and global learning opportunities.
The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who actively got onboarded and trained on the IBM SkillBuild platform, making the session highly interactive and impactful.

The Cultural Club of Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Information Technology (BCIIT) organized a vibrant Lohri celebration on 13th January 2026 with great enthusiasm, highlighting the spirit of togetherness and cultural heritage.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Ravish Saggar, Director, BCIIT, who emphasized the cultural significance of Lohri and the importance of celebrating traditional festivals within the academic environment.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of several distinguished guests, including Shri Bhuvan Mohan, Former Secretary, SBCSSTS; Shri Vipul Gupta, Vice Chairman, SBCSSTS; Dr.R.K. Bhandari, Director, BCIHMCT; Dr. C. S. Ram, Director, BCIP; Dr. Saroj Tyagi, Medical Superintendent, BCIMS; and Dr. Pooja Singh, Hospital Manager, BCIPS, which added great value and prestige to the occasion.
The event was ably hosted by Manjot Singh, a student of BCA second year. The cultural segment featured a soulful song performance by Ms. Pallavi, a student of MCA first year, followed by an energetic dance presentation by students of BCA first year. Traditional Lohri rituals were performed with devotion, and refreshments were served to all participants and guests. The event was successfully co-ordinated by Dr. Shobha Chawla, Associate Professor, BCIIT. Faculty members, students, and staff actively participated, making the celebration lively and memorable.
The programme concluded on a joyful note, fostering a sense of unity and cultural bonding among members of the Banarsidas Chandiwala Group of Institutions.

BCIIT successfully concluded TECH’O FUN 2025, a power-packed celebration of innovation, coding, and creativity The fest featured exciting events like CODE JAM – Mini Hackathon 2025, where participants showcased their skills across three levels — Data Visualization, Bug Bash, and Feature Enhancement — turning data into stories, debugging real-world code, and building live features within hours. Winners bagged ₹2,500 cash prizes, trophies, and exclusive Boat Goodie Sets. The much-loved TECH TAMBOLA added a fun twist to the classic housie with tech-based answers, images, and quick thinking, while the BGMI and NFS tournaments brought thrilling gameplay and fierce competition to the fest.The energy, talent, and teamwork of students made the event a grand success, reflecting true tech enthusiasm and creativity. Our story

Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Information Technology (BCIIT) was established in 1999 to run Three-Year Master of Computer Application (MCA) programme. The Institute is affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi for awarding the degree and is approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of HRD, Government of India.The Institute is established under the aegis of Sri Banarsidas Chandiwala Sewa Smarak Trust Society, a charitable Society working in the field of health and education since 1952.

The ‘Process Management Approach’ followed by the Institute facilitates in the efficient and effective implementation of each process and it’s monitoring. Both the stakeholders – the faculty and the students – share the vision and mission of the Institute and are active partners in its implementation.

The Institute is student-centric where the faculty members are always alive to the needs of the students and are focussed to develop them to top class software professionals. The Programme Coordinator and mentors monitor the progress of each student. The students go through continuous evaluation for which tests are conducted every Monday. For the personality development, the students undergo communication skills, etiquette, and organisation behaviour classes. To develop their competitive skills the students are subjected to debates, quizzes, software development tests, sports and cultural programmes.

The Institute is located in the midst of the business centers of South Delhi, viz., Nehru Place and Okhla Industrial Town in the serene environment of Chandiwala Estate. The location makes a perfect fit from IT perspective with Nehru Place as hardware hub and Okhla as software hub of Delhi.
