Dr Ram Bhagwan Singh (b. 1941) writes and translates into English from Hindi and vice-versa. He was a regular broadcaster from AIR, Ranchi. His radio scripts both in English and Hindi were published as Leisure Pleasure and Achchha Hone Ka Dukh. He loves translating.
Previously he translated Devakinandan Khatri's Chandrakanta and then the short stories of Munshi Premchand. His translation of contemporary Hindi short stories from Bihar under the title Tales from Patliputra is awaiting publication. R.B. Singh is a professor of English retired from Ranchi University. He has lived among the tribals and has an intimate feel of their lives and minds.

Radhakrishna
Radhakrishna (1910-1979) was one of the makers of modern Indian literature in Hindi. As a novelist and story writer, he was as great as Munshi Premchand though not celebrated as such. Was it because of the bias against Bihar or Chhotanagpur being in the literary rainshadow! However, his literary achievements bear witness to his creative acumen and artistic craftsmanship. Radhakrishna belonged to the realist tradition who wrote about the sufferings of the tribal folk in particular and the suffering humanity in general. Himself born and brought up in straitened circumstances, he knew the common man's struggle for existence, his pains and disappointments and still retaining his fighting instinct. Through his writings, he worked for communal harmony and promotion of human values. Though not romance, his writing is remarkable for the elements of humour and satire.
Radhakrishna wrote Ramlila (1946), Sajla Vol. I & II (1951), Gulpika (1956), Gend aur Goal (1975) all collections of stories and novels – Rupanter (1952), Bogus (1953), Sansanate Sapne (1954), Sapne Bikau Hain (1963). His satirical pieces in Chandragupta Ki Talwar appeared in 1998. He also wrote dramas, Bharat Chhodo (1947), Bigdi Hui Baat (1959), Adhik Ann Upajao (1954). He edited Hans, Maya, Kahani, Sandesh, Mahavir, Jharkhand, Adivasi et al journals.

नवीन जी द्विवेदी युग के कवि हैं। इनकी कविताओं में भक्ति.भावनाए राष्ट्र.प्रेम तथा विद्रोह का स्वर प्रमुखता से आया है। आपने ब्रजभाषा के प्रभाव से युक्त खड़ी बोली हिन्दी में काव्य रचना की।

उन्हे साहित्य एवं शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में सन १९६० में पद्मभूषण से सम्मानित किया गया था।
