This year on 14 August, the 79th celebration of Independence Day was held in Delhi Heights School, New Delhi.
The morning of Independence Day celebration in Delhi Heights School, Qutub Vihar, New Delhi started with the welcome and floral felicitation of guests followed by Shloka chanting and lamp lighting by honorable Chairman Akash Yadav. The flag hoisting was done by the Principal Nisha Jan followed by the National Anthem. The March Past caught the eyes of the audience as each house representative with their battalion took control of the field. The importance of Independence Day was well explained in Hindi and English by the speakers.The cultural program exhilarated the ambience of the school as students participated in different programs with great zeal and energy followed by an inter-house singing competition based on a patriotic theme which took the program to another level.The students showcased their prowess in poetry recitation, dance, patriotic songs, and many more such skills. The main attraction was the dance of all the students from Nursery to X.

The morning of the Vasant Panchami/Saraswati Puja, the festival to invoke the goddess of learning and music(Maa Saraswati) was celebrated in the premises of Delhi Heights School, Qutub Vihar, New Delhi with enthusiasm and feeling of worship. On the advent of Spring season, the celebration started with much devotion and worship of Goddesses by the honorable Chairman Akash Yadav. The Principal Nisha Jan, staff and the students worshipped Maa Saraswati to seek wisdom,
artistic and technical skills, academic excellence and a good heart. The ritual was graced with a beautiful 'Saraswati Vandana' to invoke Maa Saraswati by the students of class-V & VI. All the students got blessings to have an excellent academic growth.
The importance of Vasant Panchami was well explained in Hindi by Sunita Saxena( Hindi teacher)
The program concluded with the distribution of Prasad.
