To commemorate Earth Day on 22nd April 2026, the Pre-Primary section of Richmondd Global School organized a joyful and meaningful celebration aimed at fostering environmental awareness among young learners. The initiative focused on instilling a sense of responsibility, care, and respect for Mother Earth from an early age.

The day began with a vibrant special assembly, where children participated in songs, recited simple pledges, and shared thoughtful messages highlighting the importance of protecting nature. An engaging nukkad natak was also presented, effectively conveying key messages such as reducing waste, conserving water, and maintaining cleanliness in our surroundings in a manner easily understood by young minds.

In addition, a variety of art and craft activities were conducted using eco-friendly and recycled materials. These hands-on experiences provided children with an opportunity to express their creativity while learning the value of sustainability and resource conservation.

The celebration was thoughtfully designed in alignment with CBSE’s environmental initiatives and the principles of NEP 2020, emphasizing experiential, activity-based, and holistic learning. Through these meaningful activities, children understood that even small actions can contribute significantly towards building a greener and healthier planet.

Overall, the Earth Day celebration was a successful step towards nurturing environmentally conscious, responsible, and sensitive young citizens.
