A workshop on “Introduction to the Foundations of Statistics” was conducted today for the students of the Department of Psychology. The session was delivered by Dr. Vikrant Jha, who discussed fundamental statistical concepts with special emphasis on parametric and non-parametric tests.

The programme was coordinated by Mr. Kumar Ujwal and Ms. Nirupama Yadav, under the guidance of the Teacher-in-Charge, Dr. Pratima Singh.

The workshop provided a detailed understanding of data analysis using SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences), including data handling, selection of appropriate statistical tests, and interpretation of results. The session was highly informative and beneficial for students’ academic and research development.
