School education has come a long way in this past month of lockdown. When the world was busy talking about Corona, teachers were busy preparing for their online lectures. When the people were struggling to adjust to the new ways of living, teachers were busy making PPTs, videos, story sessions, online activities, assignments, worksheets and much more to keep the students purposefully engaged.
We are amazed at our own capabilities of not only adjusting to new situations and new ways of teaching but also at our ability to multitask and manage, to create new and better ways of teaching and caring for the children, the worst affected lot in the current situation.

COVID-19 Novel Coronavirus Alert.

Say No to Panic, Say Yes to Precautions...

Follow these Guidelines prescribed by WHO and Govt Of India for the precautions of COVID-19.

WASHING HANDS: While washing hands, use an alcohol-based rub or soap and water to kill the pathogen. Do this frequently and continue up to 20-30 seconds.

COVERING COUGHS: Use a tissue, or your bent elbow, to cover your cough -- this keeps virus-infected droplets away from those around you. If you use a tissue, dispose of it quickly and safely.

SOCIAL DISTANCING: Stay at least 1 metre away from people who're coughing or sneezing to avoid inhaling droplets.

AVOID TOUCHING YOUR FACE: If the virus has contaminated your hands after contact with another surface, it can infect you through your eyes, nose or mouth.

AVOID HANDSHAKE: Avoid unnecessary contact with others to protect yourself from Coronavirus/COVID19, particularly with hands. When greeting others, consider the following gestures instead of a handshake:
Waving
Nodding
Bowing
Touching Elbows

IF YOU ARE SICK: Here's a summary of WHO's advice for people living in areas where the coronavirus is spreading, or who've travelled to such places in the past two weeks. First and foremost, follow the hygiene measures above. If you're feeling under the weather, "even with mild symptoms such as headache and a slight runny nose", then stay home till you get better. If you have fever, cough and breathing difficulties, go see a doctor. Inform her (or him) about your travel history. Tell her if you've come into contact with other travellers who may be at risk.

Do you need to wear masks? Not unless you're sick, or are caring for someone who may have Covid-19.

One last thing to keep in mind -- don't fall prey to fake news! There's plenty of misinformation out there on the coronavirus outbreak, and sharing it is dangerous. Follow trusted sources of information -- these include the World Health Organisation and India's Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
