When science stumbles, how do we teach kids to walk wisely?
Questions about the implementation of ethics in the use and development of tech have been weighing on me – not just as an educator, but as someone who believes deeply in the why behind what we teach.
Speed and Visibility do not equal Credibility.
Whether it is publishing before peer review, overstating results in the media, or ignoring ethical flags—our digital footprints matter. It is about accountability.
That is why I keep coming back to tale of The Hare and the Tortoise, reimagined in the brilliant Code Tales series (Vol. 3). It frames this classic story through a digital lens: racing ahead online without caution versus building trust through consistency, evidence, and humility.
In a world where data ethics, transparency, and accountability are more than buzzwords—teaching these principles early is non-negotiable.
This Code Tales series

turns timeless tales into starter kits for digital citizens—perfect for the classroom, home-school, or your next tech curriculum.
Highly recommend for anyone nurturing the next gen of scientists, engineers, or just thoughtful tech users.
These books aren’t just clever—they help kids think critically about tech, ethics, and the role they play in shaping the future. In a world of fast clicks and viral claims, that kind of reflection is gold esp. if you're a parent, teacher, or curriculum leader looking for ways to bring ethics into STEM

🚀 This month, STEM EDUCATION METAVERSE earned the EduEvidence - The International Certification of Evidence of Impact in Education 🎉 research supported by International Centre for EdTech Impact; WiKIT and EdTech Ireland Innovation Network EdTech Ireland Innovation Hub
This milestone isn’t just a badge—it’s a validation of purpose. This means our work is now independently recognized as having a research-based rationale for improving learning outcomes.
It matters. Because in a world full of EdTech noise, rigor matters. Evidence matters. Children’s futures matter most.
For us, the validation is also a deeply personal one, a reflection of a journey.
We started as a group of educators, engineers, and dreamers, sitting in living rooms and borrowed classrooms, asking one question:
· “What if STEM education could do more than teach skills?”
· What if it could teach responsibility?
· What if it could light up imagination and ethics with the same intensity as it does code and circuits?
We realized our mission wasn’t just about access to tech—it was about access to self-belief. And it had to be built on more than just content.
· We worked with researchers.
· We documented outcomes.
· We made evidence—not assumptions—our foundation.
We didn’t want hype. We wanted evidence. That’s why this moment matters.
🔧 Our mission has always been bigger than machines.
• Break down access barriers to STEM
• Embed ethics, creativity, and collaboration into every module
• Design unplugged games that teach decision-making as much as they teach logic
• Align to national frameworks while staying grounded in global citizenship
🏅 This Bronze Efficacy badge validates that effort. ICEIE has recognized our platform as research-informed and pedagogically sound and recognizes that what we teach works — and why it matters. Also it shows that our pedagogy is aligned with global evidence standards (ESSA Tier IV).
Next stop? Silver. Larger scale. Deeper insight.
If you believe in a future where children don’t just use tech, but lead with values—let’s connect. If you're a school leader, educator, researcher, or parent w

🚨 The Ghibli AI Art Trend: A Wake-Up Call for Millennial Parents 🚨
Recently, social media was flooded with AI-generated "Ghibli-style" art, captivating millions. But beneath the aesthetic appeal lay a glaring issue.
According to Deloitte’s latest trends, 90% of leaders in emerging tech lack the skills to implement ethical principles in their work. That’s a staggering gap—and a concerning one. If today’s leaders struggle with ethics in tech, what does that mean for the next generation? Ethics isn’t just a “nice-to-have” in AI, coding, and digital innovation; it’s the foundation of sustainable and responsible progress.
This isn’t just about art. It’s about the ethics of emerging technology—something most of us never learned in school. And yet, as AI, automation, and digital tools shape our kids' future, ethical gaps in tech leadership are widening. Think about that: The people shaping AI, social media, and digital platforms don’t have the training to handle their ethical impact. No wonder we keep seeing issues like deepfakes, bias in AI, and IP theft.
As millennial parents, we want our kids to thrive in a tech-driven world. But thriving isn’t just about knowing how to code—it’s about understanding the responsibility that comes with technology.
That is why we created 📚 "Code Tales", a book series helps tweens (10+years) understand, question, and shape technology responsibly. Each volume in the 10-book series guides them to identify and explain a key ethical principle and its application to an emerging technology through story-telling and coding digital artifacts such as games and animation.
In Volume 8, we will explore the concept of Intellectual Property rights, relating to the "Flea and the Bug" story and explore the ethical use of creative technologies and respect others' digital creations.

Somewhere along the way, being a teenager stopped being about having fun and figuring life out—it became about launching a startup, grinding 24/7, and landing on some "Teen Genius to Watch" list before they even graduate. But here’s the real question: Are we truly building the future, or just playing a very expensive game of pretend?
👨👩👧👦 It is important to empower kids and teens with the right stories today!
And this is precisely why we wrote the Code Tales book series that guides them through the important areas of decision-making, problem-solving, and self-awareness, helping them grow into thoughtful and capable individuals.
📚 Each volume in the 10-book series guides them to identify and explain a key ethical principle and its application to an emerging technology through story-telling and coding digital artifacts such as games and animation.
