The support of the “Japanese Embassy” and the “Japan Foundation” cosigns that the Competition has the requisite Japanese finesse, and the collaboration with “Origami Oritai, India” evinces great judgment.
This first of its kind which brings together school and college students on a single platform to explore the lesser known art of Origami.
As its custom is, AVENSIS 2014, promises fun, creativity, knowledge and experience at its best..!!

Closing ceremony of Avensis 2k13 is to be held tomorrow (2nd April '13)in the auditorium.

1. For prize distribution(1st , 2nd, 3rd ).
2. To felicitate best events in each category.
3. To award certificates to Event Heads and Coordinators.

All the concerned people are wholeheartedly invited :)

Avensis 2013 - The Best Edition of our Annual Fest till now!

What started on 20th January has culminated in one of the finest extravaganzas this year. The addition of a whole new 'Cult' dimension to the already brilliant Technical, Robotics, F&C, and Literary sections laid the platform for 'Taking it to the Next Level'.

Teams from the IIT's (a pleasant surprise was IIT-Bombay's team in our robotics events), NSIT, DTU, Venky, Gargi, Hindu (and other DU colleges), our own GGSIPU fraternity (NIEC, BVP, MAIT, BPIT, HMR, GTBIT) and even MDU and UPTU participated this year. Testimony to the progress that the fest has been making, with increase in footfall each subsequent year, and this year's had the highest number yet! More important than the quantity, and we’re sure everyone would agree to it, was the quality of the fest.

The aforementioned team from IIT-Bombay came for our robotics events, and even though they did not win anything, had only compliments and praise for us. The Junkyard Wars event had 320 members playing through the junk. And the massive crowds that the Robo-Wars and Hydrobot events drew are the special moments of the fest. The LAN Gaming event, introduced the multi-player COD game this time, and anybody familiar with the field would realise that this is a massive jump from last year, attracting some of the best gamers from Delhi/NCR. And I'm sure everyone witnessed 'The Chronic Legion' on stage. Their performance had everyone awestruck. On a similar vein, the Dance-A-Thon had Mr. S.P. Singh (yes, president, SMES) smiling, and he loved the performances. Groups from Venky, Gargi, and other prominent DU spheres graced our stage, and entertained everyone. Moving off the stage now, even the Literary events moved up a few notches. The quizzes had some of the best teams on the quizzing circuit, from BVP, NSIT, Venky etc.

Now, all this would not have been possible without an able team of CO's, Event Heads, and Co-ordinators. Slogging it out since February, our CO's left no stone unturned in making the fest a success. Come March, they had an entire team of Event Heads and co-ordinators to help them out with the ex*****on of these events. The final days of 21-23rd March showed the excellent results that the team had strived for.

However, at the Closing Ceremony, despite having planned to felicitate the whole of our team, our esteemed chief guest had to rush due to some emergency. So the ceremony had to be cut short and a majority of the team felt hard done (and rightly so). Also, as regards the remuneration and prizes, that distribution is solely done by the teachers on their own end, and any communication regarding the individual breakdown of prizes is never entertained. Though there might have been some mis-communication on part of some team members regarding the prize remuneration and the 2nd and 3rd prizes on the closing, they have been duly reprimanded. And we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused because of this. Also, rest assured that each and every team member and prize winner will be duly felicitated, and we will make a provision for the same very soon.
