Workshop : Say Yes to Life No to Drugs

We at DAV Sreshtha Vihar, believe in holistic development of our students. Staying away from habits which hamper personality development is very important to build up a strong personality. One of the major challenges which our youth facing is to***co uses and other drug habits and abuse. Thus, the School Counsellor took a workshop on empowering skills to keep away from drugs and shared the probable damages caused by it. The session was taken for students of 11th and 12th std. Here are few glimpses of it.

Great Learning Doesn’t Just Happen; It Is Planned, Practised and Tracked.

DAV Public School, Sreshtha Vihar, under the aegis of DAV College Managing Committee, hosted the 3rd Day of the Capacity Building Programme (CBP) on 19th September 2026.

The programme commenced with the DAV Gaan, followed by an insightful address by Principal Ms. Suhasini K. Nath. She highlighted the importance of innovative pedagogy, computational skills and meaningful assessment. She also sensitised teachers towards recent events, natural calamities and environmental concerns, emphasising the need to nurture responsible, aware and empathetic learners.

The inaugural session was followed by an address by Ms. Lakshmi Negi, HOD, Social Science Department, who extended a gracious welcome to the Master Trainers and all participating teachers, setting the tone for an engaging and collaborative learning experience.

Primary and Middle Groups

The session focused on syllabus review and discussion, followed by the collaborative designing of a Sample Question Paper and Blueprint, with emphasis on balanced and outcome-based assessment.

Secondary Group
The group engaged in a discussion on the Half-Yearly Examination, followed by the creation of innovative worksheets and MLL worksheets to strengthen conceptual understanding, encourage active learning and cater to diverse learning needs.

The third day of the CBP provided a meaningful platform for collaboration, reflection and professional growth, reaffirming the commitment towards innovative, inclusive and learner-centred education.

A DAY OF COLOURS, CREATIVITY & TOON-TASTIC FUN!
Our little Nursery stars stepped into a vibrant Colour Carnival, exploring colours through Colour Trails – Walk & Create, Colourful Creations, Colour Clothesline, Colours of Happiness and a cheerful Rainbow Dress-Up!
Meanwhile, our UKG explorers entered a world of imagination with Toon-Tastic Faces & Poses, bringing their favourite toon characters to life through expressions, creativity and playful poses!
From colourful creations to cheerful toon-inspired smiles, the campus came alive with imagination, expression, creativity and happiness.

The Yoga Zonal Competitions were held at SKV Vivek Vihar, providing a platform for students to showcase their talent, discipline, flexibility, and dedication towards yoga. Our students participated in various categories and brought great pride to the school through their commendable performances.
Yash of Class VIII delivered an exceptional performance, securing 1st position in the Artistic Yoga Competition and 2nd position in the Traditional Yoga Competition. He also participated in the Rhythmic Yoga Competition along with Ansh of Class VII, where the duo secured 4th position.
In the Junior category, Bhuvan of Class IX secured 2nd position in the Solo Artistic Yoga Competition. He also secured 3rd position in the Pair Artistic Yoga Competition along with Naman of Class VI, demonstrating excellent coordination and teamwork.
In the Sub-Junior category, Ankita of Class VIII and Kranika of Class VII secured 1st position in the Pair Artistic Yoga Competition. Their impressive performance reflected their dedication, synchronisation, and strong command of yoga techniques.
The school also celebrated the achievement of Anjani and Prachi of Class IX, who secured 3rd position in the Junior category in the Pair Artistic Yoga Competition.
Adding to the school’s achievements, Khushi of Class XI-G secured 2nd position in the Senior Individual category in the Traditional Yoga Competition and 3rd position in the Artistic Yoga Competition.
The remarkable performances of our students at the Yoga Zonal Competitions are a testament to their hard work, perseverance, discipline, and commitment. Their achievements have brought honour to the school and serve as an inspiration to fellow students. The DAV Sports Yoga Competition was held at DAV Dayanand Vihar, in which the students of our school participated with great enthusiasm, discipline, and dedication. The young participants showcased their talent and commitment in various age categories and brought laurels to the school through their outstanding performances.
In the U-17 Girls category, Aarna (VII-E), Dimple (VII-C), Avika (VIII-B), Ankita (VIII-E), and Kranika (VII-D) secured 1st position. Adding to the achievement, Kranika (VII-D) also participated in the Individual Artistic Yoga category and secured 2nd position.
In the U-14 Girls category, Mishika (VI-F), Tia Khanna (VII-A), Mithi (V-E), Nishtha (V-E), and Mriduvani (V-E) secured 1st position. Their excellent performance reflected their hard work, discipline, and dedication towards yoga.
The school also achieved remarkable success in the U-19 Girls category, with Shakti Pant (XI-C), Khushi (XI-G), Sakshi (X-C), Ish*ta (X-F), and Anjani (IX-E) securing 1st position. Sakshi (X-C) further distinguished herself by securing 1st position in the Individual Artistic Yoga category.
In the U-14 Boys category, Gourav Kumar (VII-B), Aarav Kumar (VII-E), Virender (VII-B), Om (VII-C), and Pranil (VI-D) secured 2nd position, earning appreciation for their commendable performance and teamwork.
In the U-17 Boys category, Bhuvan Gupta (IX-F), Robin (IX-E), Yash Kumar (VIII-F), Ansh (VII-D), and Naman Gupta (VI-D) secured 1st position. Yash Kumar (VIII-F) added another achievement by securing 1st position in the Individual Artistic Yoga category.
The achievements of our students reflect their dedication, discipline, perseverance, and teamwork. THEME of PRESENTATION: TEACHER'S DAY
The objective of this presentation was to celebrate Teacher's Day and express deep respect and gratitude towards the teachers. The purpose of this presentation was to show the transformative role of a teacher in a student's life and how a teacher's constant support, motivation and guidance can nurture every learner and lead them towards excellence.Through a small role-play and the soulful song "Deep Shikha Ke Hain", students depicted that a teacher is like a burning lamp who enlightens the lives of students. The presentation aimed to inculcate the values of respect, gratitude, discipline and hard work among students and to help them understand that behind every successful student there is a dedicated teacher.
