The letter 'R' is spoken differently by people belonging to different regions. The Americans speak it a lot differently than the Britishers, and the Britishers speak it a lot different than the people from middle eastern countries. Recently, there has been an upsurge in the number of people speaking the 'R' in the way in which Americans speak it. In this lesson, you will learn the American way of pronouncing the 'R' by rolling the tongue backwards. It is easy and it sure is fun.

The P's, K's and T's come in two varieties in English. The first variety carries more voice and less air and this is called the normal variety. The other variety, however, carries more air and less voice and is therefore called the airy (or technically 'aspirated') variety.
