Day 3 of Literati '23: A Timeless Legacy brought us art, journalism and literature in a myriad of interactive mannerisms.
AuthorSpeak and the Screenwriting Workshop connected readers with passionate authors and screenwriters laying out the charm of their craft. We had multiple competitions - the General Quiz to cap off three days of quizzing, Scribblings bringing out the legacy of writing in the finals, and Cover Redesign allowing us to relive the magical experiences of our favourite books with a new flavour. The STEMM Panel Discussion talked of the underlying issues pervading the q***r community in education. The Book Fair, and Blind Date With A Book, continued to be a runaway success.
Sonal Mehrotra Kapoor gave a captivating lecture, before Literati ended with a poetic bang as the Mushaira was conducted. For two hours, we were led down a beautiful lane of poetry, capturing the mundane and relatable in exquisite nazms and ghazals.
This is the Literati Team for you, bringing out the Glimpses from the settling dawn of the biggest college literature celebration in North India!

The Annual Lecture was given by Nandita Das in the Sem Hall. The graceful, packing lecture taught and intrigued us. This was succeeded by the second closing night, a drama act by the Asmita Theater Group. Enacting Mahesh Dattani's Tara, they took us to a journey of unending highs and lows as the act unfurled.
We present to you some glimpses from Day 2, a jampacked celebration with multiple competitions, workshops and events!

Our Story
Literati - the signature literary festival of the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi - has grown into one of the largest gatherings of its kind, thronged to by the erudite, glib and logoleptic masses whose numbers would exceed the word count of a small novella. Organised annually by the Board for Student Publications, this edition marks a radical departure from tradition, custom, expectation and even reality, and has been graced by names like Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, Paranjoy Guha Thakurtha, Devdutt Pattnaik and Varun Grover.
Straight out of a neo-noir graphic novel, Literati 2019 offers, through a very potent rush of blood to the head, to capture and enmesh the contemporary irreverent, tempestuous, aggressive, ambitious, egotistical, debonair and combative ethos into a celebratory surrealist montage and through this dare go where no LitFest has gone before.
So it has been written. So it shall be done. Gather ye rosebuds while ye may, join in from 6th - 9th September 2019, and someday you'll be famous, just like what's-his-name.
