Water conservation is a big thing, but every little bit helps, so don't think that what you do doesn't matter. A whole lot of people doing a little bit adds up to a whole lot. We must all make changes in our lifestyles that will change the course of our water and its quality. Water conservation needs to be a way of life, not just something we think about once in a while. If we all do our part in conserving water, we can make a huge difference for the environment. Inspired by the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s impetus on Jal Sanchay, the Jal Shakti Abhiyan (JSA) is a time-bound, mission-mode water conservation campaign.

Society for Environment and Development (India) statrted Tree Plantation Cum Awareness Programme to Promote Water Conservation under the “Jal Shakti Abhiyan” initiated by Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Govt. of India. The JSA will run in two Phases: Phase 1 from 1st July to 15th September 2019 for all States and Union Territories; and Phase 2 from 1st October to 30th November 2019 for States and UTs receiving the retreating monsoon (Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Puducherry and Tamil Nadu).

During the campaign Society for Environment and Development (India) will organize Plantation Drive, Awareness Programme, Awareness Rally and Poster Competition in deffirent part of country with help of our vollunteers/member/fellow in deffrent Institute/University/college and other organization work together with state and district officials in India’s.

World Environment Day (WED) is celebrated on the 5th of June every year, and is the United Nation's principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of our environment. First held in 1974, it has been a flagship campaign for raising awareness on emerging environmental issues from marine pollution, human overpopulation, and global warming, to sustainable consumption and wildlife crime. WED has grown to become a global platform for public outreach, with participation from over 143 countries annually. Each year, WED has a new theme that major corporations, NGOs, communities, governments and celebrities worldwide adopt to advocate environmental causes.

The theme for 2019 is "Beat Air Pollution". The host nation is China.
