What do actuaries actually do?” 🤔📊

It’s not just calculations.
It’s decisions that move billions.

Actuaries analyse risk,
design insurance products,
and decide how much premium you pay vs how much companies can sustain.

In simple words —
they answer:
“What can go wrong, and what will it cost?”

From pricing policies to managing financial risk,
actuaries sit at the core of every insurance decision. 🔥

If you understand risk… you control the game.

Lowest pass rates: CM1 at 29% and CS2 at 34%, meaning roughly 7 out of 10 candidates did not clear these papers.

■ Moderate pass rates: CM2 (37%), CS1 (44%), CP1 (42%) indicate that these exams were challenging but not as severe as CM1.

■ Highest pass rates: CB1 (65%), CB2 (62%), CP2 (57%), CP3 (54%), where more than half the students passed, suggesting either better preparation, clearer exam patterns, or more scoring opportunities.

“You sat for one of the toughest professional exams out there, and the numbers prove how demanding these papers are. Whether you passed or not, just showing up and putting in the effort places you in a small group of people with real courage and discipline. This result is feedback, not a verdict on your future. Take a short break, review what worked and what didn’t, and then come back with a sharper plan—because you clearly have what it takes to be here, and one exam session will not define your actuarial career.”

Huge congratulations on passing your actuarial exam! That result reflects your hard work, discipline, and the problem-solving skills that will serve you throughout your career. Take a moment to celebrate this milestone, then keep building on it—each success moves you closer to your long-term goals in the profession. Very proud of you—keep going!

I know this is tough, but one exam doesn’t define your ability or your future as an actuary. Use this outcome as valuable feedback—review what worked and what didn’t, adjust your study plan, seek support from peers or a mentor, and focus on consistent practice. Many successful actuaries failed exams along the way; resilience and steady improvement are what win in the end. Keep your goals in sight, take small steps forward, and believe in your capacity to succeed next time.
