Nuisance created by littering and waste accumulation has left no one unaffected in this era of urbanisation and overconsumption. Health and environmental are its most visible impacts which call for community resilience towards the problem.

Understanding the gravity of the situation, we, Undergraduate Students from University of Delhi have come up with a research on Unnotified Dumping sites and Potential Waste Piling Sites in Delhi. The research is aimed at Mitigating Waste Accumulation under Digital India Initiative.

अवैध डंपिंग के कारण उत्पन्न होने वाले मुद्दों से निपटने के लिए अवैध डंपिंग साइटों का समाप्त होना आवश्यक है। यह समाज और सरकार के सामूहिक प्रयासों से ही संभव है। यह पेज इस दिशा में एक प्रयास है। इसका उद्देश्य सरकार एवं समाज को इन साइटों के बारे में सूचित करने के लिए एक मॉडल विकसित करना है, ताकि यह समस्या समाप्त हो पाए।

Dealing with issues arising due to illegal dumping required eradication of illegal dumping sites. It can only be made possible through collective efforts of community and the Government. This page is an effort in this direction. It aims to develop a model to notify the governing authority as well as social groups about susceptible sites, therefore eliminating the problem.
