Mental & Physical awareness session. Yesterday a team of interns from @anvayahealthcare conducted a beautiful group session on why mental & physical health is important, the difference between the two, and what are emotions. In individual sessions they addressed childrens concerns and daily stressors. SOHF in collaboration with Aadarsh Prathmic Vidyalaya in sector 15 Noida UP conducted health and wellness training with Asha workers and Anganwadis. Which covered the health challenges and nutritional gaps in the community level and raised awareness about food fortification to overcome these challenges in some way. SOHF in its new campaign where it wishes to reach out to all Asha workers and Anganwadis across India. The session was organised by Ms. Vijeta Singhari Vijeta who has done her Masters in Management with specialization in Tourism from Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar University Agra. Currently she is working as a consultant with an international NGO, the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition. Last Sunday, the girls were taught about menstrual cycle and hygiene with fun and informative activities using the Ruby’s World Education Guide by @washunited . As per Chapter 1, The girls shared their experiences of menstruation on a sheet of paper and expressed what they felt during the menstrual cycle. The next sessions would include further chapters in the manual.
