😖"Ugh. Why am I such an angry mom!?"
🔴Rather than curiosity, investigation, acceptance,
and accountability.
🔴When you pretend that you are not angry to avoid
being the "angry mom" in front of your children, it
doesn't benefit you or your child.
✅Children are keen observes and often feel our
anger (and other emotions) long before we speak
of them.
✅When you are angry, don't pretend you
are not.
✅Doing so is more conflicting to your child.
Instead, own your anger. "Yes, I am angry right
now."
✅Take responsibility for your emotions without
blaming or shaming your child.
🔴 "Messes are
difficult for me to see, but you don't have to change what your doing because you are a kid and are creating and playing.
🔴My anger is my
responsibility to soothe so l'm going to cool down."
🌺Owning your anger means you are owning
responsibility for soothing yourself, managing
your reactions, and what you do with your feelings
so that your child doesn't bare the burden of your
emotions.
🔴What did you learn about anger?

✅What tips do you have for
eating out with kids?
✅Eating meals out with young kids can be challenging!
✅Many parents turn to screens to get a moment of peace or just to get some
uninterrupted adult conversation.
✅We get it!
✅Unfortunately, using screens during meals can
reduce the opportunities kids have to learn the skills needed to eat out.
✅These skills include
things like patience, frustration tolerance, and
how to entertain themselves waiting for food to
arrive.

🌟This is hard. It takes
tremendous self-control, and you'll find yourself
messing up over and over again.
🌟Don't give up.
🌟It works.
It gets easier and easier to stop yourself in mid-yell, and then to stop even before
you open your mouth.
🌟Just keep moving in the
right direction.
You're re-wiring your brain.
🌟At some point, you'l realize that it's been months
since you yelled at anyone.
🌟Your child will transform, right in front of your
eyes.
🌟You'll see him working hard to control himself when he gets angry, instead of lashing
out.
(Yes! That's your role-modeling!) You'll see
him cooperating more.
🌟And you'll see him "listen"
-- when you haven't even raised your voice.

👩👦Imagine not being able to
express your anger after your boss unfairly criticises you.
👩👦What if this happened 10 x by noon?
👩👦This is the life of a toddler.
🍃A toddler's brain is still developing.
She doesn't have the ability to describe her feelings, let alone talk herself down.
🍃Toddlers respond physically when they experience intense feelings.
🍃It doesn't mean you're a bad parent.
🍃It doesn't mean they're a bad kid.
🍃It doesn't mean your toddler is spoiled
🍃It means your toddler is a toddler.
🔴Hitting is just a toddler acting his age.
✅WHAT TO DO?
🌺* PAUSE*
Use this moment to avoida big reaction--(which is
not easy to do).
🌺*ACKNOWLEDGE THE FEELINGS *
"You're angry - I get it"
🌺* SET LIMITS *
"But it's NOT okay to hit. Let's move over here so
you can't hit again."
🌺*TEACH *
Not now, but later at a calm moment. Teach other
ways to manage frustration - for instance, deep
breathing or asking if you can play with the toy when your sister is finished.

👩👦Mom is depressed
And she doesn't understand why?
🌺She does not know that she needs a little while Rest too…
👩👦A little while of doing nothing is fine

🔴What's your kiddo afraid of?
🍃Thunderstorms, strangers, bees, the dark...these
are just a few things that commonly trigger fear in
kids.
🔴Helping your child manage those fears and recognize whether or not they're rational can help prevent a typical childhood phase from turning into a more persistent phobia.
✅Here are 3 strategies you can use to reduce your
child's sensitivity to fear triggers-
✅1. Co-regulate and establish safety. Make sure
your child knows they are safe. Take deep breaths
while holding them, speak in a soft voice, and give
them lots of reassuring affection.
✅2. Fill in information gaps. Lots of irrational fears come out of kids' lack of understanding of
what scares them. Research the topic together
and gently correct any misconceptions they have.
✅3. Try gradual exposure. Start by talking more
about whatever it is that scares them, then work
up to looking at related pictures or videos online,
and finally to real-life exposures. Each time they
successfully practice exposure to their fear, give
them tons of positive reinforcement!
🌺Try these with your little one.

🍃Do you, like almost all
of us, struggle with feelings of guilt, inadequacy, and overwhelm when you are on social media?
🍃When you are mindlessly scrolling through Instagram, you come across a video of a fellow mommy proudly preparing fancy, well-curated
meals for their children.
🍃At the same time, all you
did was stuff some leftover chicken from last night
in their sandwich for lunch (which is still amazing,
I must say)?
🍃Or that time when you saw that blogger with her immaculately dressed picture, alongside her daughter in their matching outfits as she posed joyfully across the arms of her doting husband?
🍃Whereas the last time you had a family picture, your son wouldn't stop screaming, and your husband would not look looking at his phone.
🍃We have all been there-all of us.
🍃But cliched as it
may sound, remember that nobody has it all figured out ALL THE TIME.
🍃Everyone is struggling even though they may
choose not to show it on social media.
🍃You are enough, mama.
🍃Trust yourself and your
children.
🍃Cut off that toxicity from your life, if needed, and only follow what makes you feel
happy and at peaceyour mental health matters
above all.
🍃Tag a parent who needs to hear this and share 1
thing that usually overwhelms on social media.

🌈In our parenting
journey, we often encounter a variety of myths and traditions
🌈that we believe to be true because we internalized them as we were growing up.
🌈Beliefs became consistent with our thought patterns because our society and culture fed them to us.
🌈Some of these beliefs are incredibly toxic to the
growth of a child.
🌈However, my friend, you can unlearn these patterns and ideas.
❤️Yes, it takes time, and it's possible.
✅It is essential to educate ourselves instead of
following traditions blindly.
🌈Not everything we are told is always right.
🌈Let's normalize learning new things and unlearning the
wrong patterns in our belief systems.

🍃Self-trust is staying true to
yourself.
🍃It is being able to make choices, regardless of the outcome, with clarity and
confidence.
🍃To develop self-trust a child, within the context of
a warm and empathic parent, is guided to look
inward. A child alone cannot do this.
🍃A child alone
cannot guide themselves.
🍃They will either be
guided by a parent or peers.
🍃A conscious parent will help guide the child to
tune into how they feel, what they think, and
ultimately what decision they want to make (within
reasonable measures) not what decision the
parent wants for the child.
🍃When the outcome is not what the child expected,
a conscious parent will avoid shaming or blaming
the child.
🍃Rather they will help the child reevaluate
their feelings, thoughts, and choices and make a
new choice.
