रोशनी अधिनियम 2001 में पारित एक जम्मू और कश्मीर कानून है जो इस क्षेत्र में अवैध भूमि कब्जे को नियमित करने की अनुमति देता है। कानून विवादास्पद रहा है, कुछ का दावा है कि इसका उपयोग प्रभावशाली व्यक्तियों और संगठनों द्वारा भूमि हड़पने को वैध बनाने के लिए किया गया है। अधिनियम को 2019 में भारत की केंद्र सरकार द्वारा निरस्त कर दिया गया था। रोशनी अधिनियम की कुछ प्रमुख विशेषताओं में निम्नलिखित शामिल हैं:

1. इसका उद्देश्य जम्मू और कश्मीर में अवैध भूमि कब्जे के नियमितीकरण के लिए एक कानूनी ढांचा प्रदान करना था।

2. अधिनियम 2001 में पारित किया गया था, लेकिन कानूनी चुनौतियों और अन्य मुद्दों के कारण देरी के कारण 2007 तक इसे लागू नहीं किया गया था।

3. अधिनियम के तहत, जिन लोगों ने अवैध रूप से राजकीय भूमि पर कब्जा कर रखा था, वे शुल्क देकर अपने कब्जे को नियमित करने के लिए आवेदन कर सकते थे।

4. अधिनियम के तहत एकत्र की गई फीस का उपयोग क्षेत्र में विकास परियोजनाओं को निधि देने के लिए किया जाना था।

5. अधिनियम को 2019 में केंद्र सरकार द्वारा यह कहते हुए निरस्त कर दिया गया था कि यह अधिनियम भूमिहीनों और गरीबों को भूमि प्रदान करने के उद्देश्य को प्राप्त करने में विफल रहा।

यह अधिनियम विवादास्पद रहा है, जिसमें कुछ राजनेताओं और अन्य प्रभावशाली व्यक्तियों पर भूमि अधिग्रहण को वैध बनाने और खुद को समृद्ध बनाने के लिए अधिनियम का उपयोग करने का आरोप लगाया गया है।

The Roshni Act is a Jammu and Kashmir law passed in 2001 that allows for the regularization of illegal land possession in the region. The law has been controversial, with some claiming that it has been used to legitimize land grabs by influential individuals and organizations. The act was repealed in 2019 by the Union Government of India. Some of the key features of the Roshni Act include the following:

Under the act, people who had illegally occupied state land could apply to regularize their possession by paying a fee.
