Queen Mary's School Northend initiated its first Model United Nations Conference in 2016 with a vision to provide students with a forum to discuss global issues and to learn about the functioning of the United Nations Organisation.

1. UNGA - UNITED NATIONS GENERAL ASSEMBLY
AGENDA - Strengthening international cooperation to combat terrorism and violent extremism.
2. UNEP - UNITED NATIONS ENVIRONMENT PROGRAMME
AGENDA - Promoting sustainable development with emphasis on climate change and green bonds.
3. UNICEF - UNITED NATIONS INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN’S EMERGENCY FUND
AGENDA - Developing sustainable solutions to protect the Right to Education of Children.
4. UNHRC- UNITED NATIONS HUMAN RIGHTS COUNCIL
AGENDA - Deliberation upon Mass Surveillance programs being a threat to civilian rights to privacy.
5. WHO- WORLD HEALTH ORGANISATION
AGENDA - Discussing Antimicrobial Resistance Management and acceleration towards the Immunization Agenda 2030.
6. LOK SABHA
AGENDA - Discussion on electoral reforms with emphasis on One Nation, One Election.
7. IP - INTERNATIONAL PRESS
Media plays a critical role in Influencing the sphere of International Relations.

2. ECONOMIC AND FINANCE COMMITTEE (ECOFIN)
AGENDA - Promotion of international cooperation to combat illicit financial
flows and strengthens good practices on assets return to foster sustainable
development.
3. UNITED NATIONS SECURITY COUNCIL (UNSC)
AGENDA - Impact of Artificial Intelligence in Changing Information and Computer Security in the Nuclear World.
4. UNITED NATIONS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (UNDP)
AGENDA- Implementing the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.
5. UNITED NATIONS COMMISSION ON STATUS OF WOMEN (UNCSW)
AGENDA - Deliberation on the situation of patriarchy and maternal mortality with special emphasis on the economic empowerment of women.

In light of the previous in-school and virtual editions, which proved to be great learning experience, Queen Mary's School, Northend, is delighted to present you with the 7th edition of Queen Mary’s School Model United Nations Conference on Thursday, 24th August, 2023 and Friday, 25th August, 2023.
Abiding by our theme of 'Service to Humanity', we commit to motivate our delegates to dedicate their lives to selfless service to the world. We hope that this two day conference serves as a stimulating, reflective and thought-provoking one.
